Are you sure the fan is not connected to that header by a 3 pin adapter? The thermaltake Level 10 had a similar setup. Even so if you remove the fan you could use a regular one without using that sensor. Just connect it directly to the motherboard or fan controller if you have one. You don't necessarily need that connection hooked up.

Then it's probably a Molex connector. You can buy an adapter or get another fan. Here is a list of fans that you can use to directly mount to your motherboard or even a after market fan controller. Google the difference between molex fan connectors, 3 pin fan connectors, and 4 pin fan connectors. When you see the difference in not only the connection you will also see there is a small difference in the 4 pin as well. Usually its just a speed variable for readouts on the motherboard. knowing the pin-out and what each wire is fore helps. You can also change those connectors out with a bit of easy modding. Such Eye Candy! This is my personal build I have had throughout the years constantly upgrading this computer. This has been with me through thick and thin even in the military. This Is also still unfinished I mind you "Most personal builds are never finished LOL". I am awaiting on the ram to come in along with finishing the last few touches. I have designed a front plate for the anime I love Code Geass. The front plate will be a symbol of completion. The other finishing touche will be to complete the sleeving of the last 5 wires to the fan controller. When I finish it I will be posting the final pictures to this post. What kind of connector are you reffering to on the fan? There is a 4pin Molex, 4pin Fan header, and 3pin header. All of which should be interchangeable with adapters. Most new age motherboards have 4pin header connectors so even if its a 3 pin you should be fine. Most of the fans pending on the size now days all have a 3 pin connector or 4 pin connector. Yes the standard slot in the Thermaltake Level 10 GT should fit any 200mm fan with the amount of space that is readily available. You also should be able to buy a new 200mm Top Colorshift Fan directly from Thermaltake.

After building for years I am starting to entertain the idea of powder coating old cases. Bringing them back to life from the past. Finally finding a Thermaltake armor 8000 case I decided to go with a red and black two tone. I would like at some point to do more work with Thermaltake. This particular build was for my father.
