TT CPM
Frio OCK and Frio Advanced are two of our most classic air coolers. They are very easy to install and maintain, also they produce the best cooling effeciency. So here we have a discussion thread, feel free to ask any questions you have about these two coolers, if you already have one just share a picture. nqbus
TT, My old cpu cooling fan (GIGABYTE GH-PCU23-VE 92mm Ball CPU Cooler) quit last night after years of faithful service. I am looking at your FRIO OCK model as a replacement. Is this model compatible, and will it sit high enough or far away enough from my (4) sticks of Mushkin Enhanced Redline memory? I have the following mobo with a 1500W power supply- http://www.asus.com/us/Motherboards/CROSSHAIR_IV_FORMULA/ Please advise if any further info is required, and thank you for your time. v/r, NQ
TT CPM
Hi nqbus Frio OCK is not compatible with your RAM, maybe you can check out our NiC C5 http://www.thermaltake.com/Cooler/Air_Cooler_/NiC/C_00002029/NiC_C5/design.htm
Moving_Shadow
Hi Thermaltake, I'm looking to replace my current Thermaltake V1 CPU cooler with the Frio OCK cooler, but I'm a little concerned about space. I'm using the ASUS Rampage II Extreme motherboard, with the Corsair Vengeance 24GB RAM. Thank you.
TT CPM
Hi Moving_Shadow The Frio OCK will block two of your ram slots, or you might need to use a low profile ram.
Moving_Shadow
Hi Moving_Shadow The Frio OCK will block two of your ram slots, or you might need to use a low profile ram. How about the Frio Advanced? Thanks.
Moving_Shadow
Just as a follow up to my previous comment, and as I did not hear back from you, I was in urgent need of a new CPU cooler, so I took some very careful measurements, and decided that the Frio Advanced would fit into my previously stated config, I went ahead and purchase the cooler, and I am happy to say that it does indeed fit. It's a tight fit, but there is no conflict between the CPU cooler and the RAM sticks, I post this information here for Thermaltake to use, and for anyone else with the same setup as me for confirmation.
