It is tricky finding a case that has it all. I did like my Thermaltake View 31, but because it broke and support doesn't want to reply, I ended up buying the Phanteks Enthoo Evolv. It's far better built, and seals the glass in, which also the Thermaltake case doesn't. It does have it's flaws. The top "filters" are similar to the Thermaltake case, maybe a lil smaller. I just used the filter from my view case to compensate. Also, the top radiator support is good, but not perfect, like the view 31 case. It's all about finding that happy medium imo. For me, with a few mods for top radiator support and ventilation, the Phanteks case is the winner. I have been using it for a few months now, and so far anyway, the dust is almost non-existant.

Indeed, as I said, there is no filter. Also, there is nothing stopping anything going in the bottom of the front panel either. IMO, they should have used the same material in the bottom filter for the top and front.

I had the View 31. The glass broke due to the plastic that holds the glass to the frame broke and it fell to the floor. Anyway, back to it. The filters on the front and top have quite large holes, it will stop large particles, but not dust. I used it for three months and it was filthy throughout, yet the filters were not as dirty. The one on the bottom is great though.

That video shows the Riing plus fans. Unfortunately you don't get these fans, you only get the older, standard Riing fans with the case.

It's more like a test bench, so probably not. If it was a closed case, you would as you would some sort of airflow.

According to Corsair, it will fit a 360mm on the top. As for performance, these are the same manufacturer as all the others, the only difference is the badge and fans. As for it being enough, I'm not sure, all CPU's are different, it all depends on what the voltage you would need to hit 5.0Ghz.
If you want to connect it to the motherboard, you would need to check if it has a pump header, it's better to use a connector on your motherboard, as you will have PWM functionality, but it will quite happily run straight off the PSU too. Finally, I can't comment on Thermaltakes supplied thermal paste, but for around $5, you can't go far wrong with MX4.

I've broken one, but luckily, I have plenty of spares. But yeah, I agree, they don't line up at all. It's very annoying and I have to tilt the case to fit it without the glass dropping. Even with that, I still find the case aesthetics very pleasing... almost. I've sticker bombed the front to hide how poo it looked. I've just purchased some CF wrap which I'm going to apply, which will make it slightly prettier. But I may visit a local fabricator and get a metal replacement. Which personally, I feel it should have always been. This case is far from cheap, and I chose this over the Phantecs Evolve and the NZXT S340 Elite. I think it was a mistake, but the selling point was a sneak peak of the show (can't remember what it was called now), showing the case with the pro RGB fans, just to find you don't get them with the case.

One of the biggest problems i read about on sites like Newegg, when looking at Thermaltake cases is,
QC, Quality is very important to customers... but just as important to Thermaltake.

Having Thumbscrew holes that dont line up properly, and break?  Thats an RMA nightmare.
ISO 9001:2015   Get this fixed... get paid !

Thermaltake, (This is for you too ThermalMike)
Been building PC's for many years, ####... been building PC's before many of you on the forums were born.

I have seen companies like Thermaltake, come and go.
The problem with some of those companies, and why they are not around.. Direction.

They see opportunity to increase profit, so they expand into too many directions and spread themselves too thin.

How does this happen ?   See a market (Niche), and dive in to try and make more profit.
While the niche is there, the company does not better this niche.. they build one offs, and market them, and then forget about them for the most part.
Instead of building something.. listening to feedback, and improving on those.

Herein, View 31.  Great little case (mid).  Can be so much better.
Sheet metal is a little thin,  Face is Acrylic(Really?), The right side front is build correctly.. but this is a Tempered Glass Case... make it Tempered Glass !
What im getting at is.. if you want the case to be a premium mid tower case.. then make it premium.
Im sure a few of us would have shelled out $25-$50 more, for the other luxuries.

How would Thermaltake do this ?
Simple... Stop making so many different variants of mid tower cases.. last i checked you had over 50 of them... 50 ?    Why ?

Step up your game Thermaltake, make the cases that should be premium... a little more premium.
Make less, but Better products....guarantee no one would be upset at buying better product.
Add TT Premium RGB fans to premium cases.   Add a premium AIO to a case at a reduced cost over buying them separately.
Have a dedicated feedback and support system.  If you dont have what the customer(majority) needs... they will go elsewhere.
Its the little things.. the small niceties.. that make the BIG Difference.
Take Control Thermaltake !    Take Direction !

I've been building for years too, and I find what I see now with Thermaltake is rather disappointing. More so, their support. I have messaged them for months (around 1 a month since February not including my pleas on the forums), and how many replies did I get? Not a single one? Is this really acceptable? Not really, and have decided to purchase the rest of my products from different manufacturers.

Indeed, it's a very well built case, then they decide to not put a dust cover on the front, and put some poo plastic. And no PSU shroud is doing my head in!

DaddyBeee reacted to Slimshiesty in View 31 RGB fan question...
I went with the non RGB View 31, ordered the Riing Plus 12's.
Now i need to find an extra fan, as Tt is not selling them in singles... Stupid if you ask me.
No one is going to buy a 3pk for 1 fan.

A little disappointed in Thermaltakes View 31 face.
I dont think i read anywhere that the face was acrylic.  While its not terrible, it does lend itself to scratches pretty easily.

I know some parts on some chassis models are interchangeable.... Is there a different face for the View 31 ?

I would have preferred they used the same ventilation on both sides of the face, instead of the curved acrylic.
Replaced the acrylic with glass would have been nice too.
Making the smoked appearance a little lighter would have benefited the Riing plus 12's a little more.

Also adding a micromesh filter inside the front face would have made it a top notch case, combined with other improvements i listed.
Oh, and dont forget... this is a premium mid tower, probably should have included the riser cable as well.

I guess while im  on the subject of improving the View 31... probably should add a psu shroud to hide all those wires.

I had mine imported from Germany, which doesn't help most, but if you're in the EU, there are a few sites that sell it.

DaddyBeee got a reaction from Slimshiesty in View 31 RGB fan question...
Tell me about it, it's not like it was a budget case either. What gets me is the fact that ALL reviews for this case showed the newer fans. I'm kinda annoyed and was going to be buying so much more than just this case from Tt to replace my very old Armor LCS case and WC setup, now I have decided to buy from other brands.

Nobody from Thermaltake seems to use these forums, which is a shame, maybe contact their support. I asked a question a month ago, and still no reply.
I will try and help if I can, but as I don't have the case, some questions I just can't answer.

    1. Judging from the pictures, the chassis doesn't have any rubber grommets, which is a real pity.
Can at least the rubber grommets be ordered separately ? How ?
Apparently the View 28 chassis needs 6 rubber grommets from 2 different sizes : 4 identical + 2 identical.

They do have addons for cases on their store here, as long as you live in the US anyway.

    2. Does the chassis include a GPU riser, and if not, can it be ordered separately ? How ?

Can't answer that one, sorry. However, looking at the case, it's similar to the View 31 (ish) and that came with the riser... but to make you aware, you would need to buy the riser cable separately as they are quite expensive.

    3. There's a Riing version of the chassis. But will there be a Riing PLUS version ? Riing Plus fans are just around the corner too !

Probably not, they would need to be a separate purchase.

    4. Right now there seems to be only one type of Riing Plus fan (the Radiator fan). Will there be other types ?

SP (static pressure) fans will work just fine as Air Flow fans.

    5. The chassis seems to be already available from a number of sellers. Maybe you should start listing it on your website too ? Just sayin' ! ;p

Not sure what's going on with Tt atm, but their website doesn't seem to be well maintained, or active.
