  1. Hi Mike - I am going to reach out to support. After a power cycle both hubs were working for about a week and today I just came into one not working again. It has 5 fans attached - all "frozen" - 2 in mid RGB wave, 1 with 1 LED light and 2 completely off. Bizarre stuff
  2. I am using the smooth ones. I am just not sure why one of these controllers keeps disappearing from the app - it appears for about 5 seconds then disappears. I would love a verbose logging mode that would spit out what is going on. Troubleshooting this has been a nightmare. I WAS using a daisy chain setup but I ended up using the Y cable included and have a hub connected to each - I was debating buying an internal USB hub in case that was the problem
  3. The power cable for the hubs for the Trio's are smooth, the power cable for the hub that came with the strips is mesh - I assumed there was a resistor or something in line there
  4. Ok so this one gets weirder. I completely took the non Riing Trio hub out of the system so I am left with 2 Hubs with 9 fans. One of the Hubs will be detected by the system every time - but then disappear from the software after about 5 seconds. This is happening every time. I have tried swapping out the hub since I have spare - exact same behavior. I have tried swapping USB cables, etc. Could it be a fan? They all seem to operate normally. I am at a real loss with this one.
  5. Thanks for the heads up - it seems like I can get it to work for a couple hours - then all of a sudden some of the fans will change to default colors and the app crashes - when I reopen I get the error code I mentioned above
  6. It looks like the 3rd hub in my chain had some sort of issue - I removed it for now and everything else is working
  7. So - I had everything working great for about a week now - and I came back to my computer to find this error. I don't sleep/hibernate my computer so it isn't related to that issue which I have seen on the forum. A reboot/power cycle did not make any difference. My next step is to verify all the connections are still solid - I have a spare hub as well I can try swapping in as well. For reference: Asus Zenith Extreme Threadripper 1950X 8 Riing Trio 120 fans across 2 hubs 3 Lumi + Strips on their own hub I do realize I could consolidate down to 2 hubs but since I had the parts I liked the separation based on where things were in the case. Is there anything else I may be missing?
  8. Ok so each controller has it's own profiles - that is bizarre. I will keep poking at it Thanks for the response!
  9. Thanks for the reply - I did find that finally - that helped - I have seen some weird behavior where if I set my 3rd controller to Copy color and save it will change other controllers - very bizarre. Not sure if it's related to different types of RGB Plus controllers in the chain - i.e Controller 1 and 2 are the controllers that come with the Riing Trio and the 3rd with the light strips whose name escapes me currently
  10. Hey Guys - I am not sure if I am missing something completely obvious but how do you copy a fan setting to all the others ? The older version of the software had a button but I don't see a way with the new software. Trying to configure 9 fans manually would suck and I can't believe this feature wouldn't be there. Thanks in advance
