Animus v4.0

Hi, I've had this Thermaltake Challenger Prime (Red, Blue, Purple) has 6 macro keys and media keys at the top. I noticed that the black material that covers the color of the keyboard on the keys is like... Peeling or scratching off. Was this material really intentional even if known that it could tear off? Is there a solution to make it so that I can see what letters are which when they fully peel/tear off? I rather be able to see exactly what I'm pressing. Thanks in advance.
