Final step.
And here we are at the end of this mod.
Here is the Photobook with the most beautiful final photos of the finished work.
As the last photo we will also see in the graphics the technical data sheet of the mod as usual.
What can I say, very demanding work from all points of view but the final result has fully paid off all the efforts.

For the final video we will have to wait a bit due to Covid because I have to go to Rome to do it and it is not possible to move.

Here is the latest update of the worklog before the final photos.
Then the video of step 3 Part 2 will follow.The mod is practically finished and you will see it shortly.
In these photos we will see the custom loop, all the complete wiring, the partial assembly of the psu cover and the upper cap with its electro-mechanical actuator for opening.
We will also see many interesting details.
Obviously the video card and the missing pieces we will see them in the final photos.

Penultimate worklog update pending video card.
Here is the sequence of photos of the parts made so far.
We will also see the first photo of the final assembly.
NB. The 512GB ADATA SX 8200 PRO SSD was mounted with the heatsink that came with the Maximus Extreme XII and installed into the pre-arranged DIMM on the motherboard.
Also note the splendid ADATA Spectrix D 60 G rams.
In the next and last update we will see more details of the permanently mounted parts and the assembly of the custom loop.

Step 3.
In these photos we will see the final assembly of the MB tray with all it's parts and the final assembly of the base of the case.
In the details of the MB tray we can see in addition to the front cover also the raised supports in the back that will be used for the closing bulkhead to ensure that the wiring is practically invisible.
All obviously fixed with countersunk stainless steel screws with hexagonal insert.
We will also see the lower part of the base of the case with all the parts that make up the stabilizer mechanism for the excursion of the 2 side machine guns consisting of guides and gas pistons.

Step 3
Final assembly of the supporting structure of the upper shell / cockpit.
In these photos we will see the assembly of the parts and gas pistons.
Note in particular the replacement of all rivets with countersunk screws in stainless steel with hexagonal insert.
The countersink was made for each hole.
Very demanding work.
The engine also arrived, Intel Core I7 10700 KF.

Update.
Step 3.
In these photos we will see the first parts completely painted and finished.
The painting was done exclusively with the airbrush,
carried out with the Marble and Preshading technique which is carried out in many steps.Specifications and painting steps sequence:
Final color: Nato black Stealth Camo.
Phase 1: Sanding pieces with 600 and 800 water-based paper.
Phase 2: Primer and matt black then sanding with 600 and 800 water based paper.
Step 3: White marble with airbrush.
Step 4: Shade 1 with Light Sky Gray.
Step 5: Shade 2 with Dark Sea gray (slightly darker).
Step 6: Black marble with airbrush.
Phase 7: Filling with Nato black (the lighter marbles must be seen in transparency).
Step 8: Cleaning of paint spray residues with Ammo Mig Enamel Thinner.
Step 9: Finish with 2 coats of Alclad II ALC-313 matt clearcoat.
NB.This procedure must be carried out for all parts.
The result is exactly as expected.

Step 2 (part 2).
In these photos we will see the second part of the custom made parts and the test assembly of the entire build.
The construction of the Mod is practically completed and now we go to the painting that we will see in step 3.
We will see the construction of various parts such as the jet engines (simulation) the 2 separate flaps on the side and other parts including in particular the pump cover on the DP 100 D5-Plus distroplate.Stay tuned.

In these photos we will see a first part of the custom pieces made, the machine guns, the flaps, the various parts of the internal cockpit (and how I will be assembled), the 2 appendages on the front and on the side airboxes, up to the union of the two parts of the upper cap and the realization of the cover on the back of the MB tray that will cover all the wiring.

Step 1 update.
Test pre-assembly of the parts made in step 1.
In these photos we will see in detail the test pre-assembly of the MB tray, of the PSU with its cover and of the front radiator after having created its internal grid and the covering of its support on both sides.
It starts from the base of the frame after having completely dismantled the case where we will see in detail the positioning of the two electromechanical actuators for the movement of the 2 lateral submachine guns.
Finally we will see a first taste of the realization of the cockpit (it will be a nice detail once finished).

Step 1 update.
Cover MB tray.
In these photos we will see the realization of the cover of the MB tray.
Note in particular the relief plate with holes for the passage of the 24-pin ATX sleeve cables.We will also see the trial pre-assembly of the Maximus Extreme XII together with the Pacific DP 100 D5-Plus distro plate
of which we will also see photos in detail.A scabby job given the many adjustments to be made for the overall dimensions, the holes, the slots etc. We worked with millimeters in order to position the components perfectly.

Welcome back guys.
After a long time due to this damned Corona virus we resume this work and the worklog.
Step 1.
Serious work begins.
In these photos we will see all the mechanization through electromechanical actuators of the lateral machine guns in test pre-assembly.
As you can see I built the whole system from 0 and as guides I used 16/12 tubes for the guide casing and 12/10 tubes as a piston.
I also integrated gas pistons which, in addition to stabilizing the movement which is very fluid, without jerks and linear, also serve as a support for the machine guns, keeping everything very stable and in axis.
The actuator that will open the top cover is also mounted on the test.
The details and the explanation on this detail in the next post.
Later we will also see the machine guns completely disassembled and see how they were built.

Hi guys and welcome back.
After the adventure to the international competition at Thermaltake CaseMOD Invitational Season 2 2019, here we are with a new project.
The Project Interceptor (AH T600 Tactical Assault) Special Extreme Mod.
Concept art, 3D design and renderings by Y.Gabrielli Casemod.
Based on Thermaltake's monstrous AH T600 i decided to bring out a war machine.
Many changes to be made and I already anticipate that in addition to the cap with mechanized opening by means of an electromechanical actuator, the two lateral machine guns will also be in motion.
Of course, the painting will follow in the footsteps of the Project Stealth (those who followed him know well what it is).
To start we will see together the video with all the stages of design and 3D CAD drawing and all the final renderings.
I work in CAD extremely difficult as we will see in the video, since I had to practically sculpt the whole AH T600 from practically 0 on a solid starting from two-dimensional images, and then create all the custom parts modified with a myriad of details such as custom sleeve cables .
This is because it was not possible to have the original designs of the case because they were rightly covered by industrial secrecy.I also leave you a photo of the case that has already arrived to me by immediately making a clarification:
Let's immediately dispel the plastic issue.
The case is an iron block that has little or no plastic except for the side airboxes and the front part of the shell which are made of 3 mm thick rigid plastic.
Its weight is approximately 18 kg empty.
Huge dimensions, in line with a 900 D.
I got scared during unboxing ...
In the video there are also some animations of the final renders where we can see the movement of the 2 side machine guns.
