SATA cable to chasis

Ok maybe this is a stupid question but I have an unexpected cable that comes from the chasis. It is a SATA power cable but connected to the chasis here. I have only used SATA that connect my PSU to the HDD before, not the case. What is this for?
case is a Commander C36.
