HuGo_0 reacted to HappyBuddhaman in Project 2501 Build Log.
What I'm currently working on. Won't be running for another month or two. Inspiration for this was the anime The Ghost In The Shell. I wanted to build something that I thought would look like a PC in that movie, and the Snow Edition Level 10 has the perfect look IMO.
Parts list -
Case - Thermaltake Level 10 GT Snow Edition
MB - ASUS Formula VII
CPU - Intel i7 4790k - planning to OC
CPU Cooling - Thermaltake AIO Water Extreme 3.0
PSU - EVGA Supernova 1300 G2 (Wanted the White Toughpower 1250 DPS you had at CES, wasn't released so far, but if you're feeling generous.....)
GPU - nVidia 650 ti - (replacing next year to dual GPU's running SLI, using the current one from an older PC that went bad)
RAM - 16 GB G.SKILL Trident X 2400 (2 8GB sticks)
Fans - 2 x ENERMAX T.B. Vegas Duo UCTVD14A 140mm 2 Color (Blue/Red) LED Case Fan
3 x ENERMAX T.B.VEGAS SINGLE UCTVS12P-R 120mm Case Fan
Mouse - Thermaltake Level 10 gaming mouse - Red
Headphones - Thermaltake Level 10
Keyboard - Thermaltake MEKA G UNIT red illuminated Cherry MX Black
ASUS ROG Front Panel
SSD - Samsung 128 GB Boot drive
HDD - 2 1TB HDD's running in RAID 0
Dual Monitor, will be expanding to tri-monitor set up in the future.
After replacing the video card next year, will install a custom water cooling loop. Keeping an eye out for the cooling parts Thermaltake had on diaplay at the 2014 CES, might cut the top and make a custom top and put in a three fan rad. Once it's up and running soon, it will be Project 2501 - Version .5, since it'll still be a work in progress.

HuGo_0 reacted to Tte Jeff in POSEIDON Z Owner's Club
Have you tried one of the mechanical gaming keyboards from the POSEIDON Z Series yet?
I figured here's a good place to do a bit more length of an introduction about the Z series.
With the POSEIDON Z series, Tt eSPORTS aimed to set a precedent by offering a full-featured yet budget friendly fully back-lit mechanical keyboard for gamers – something that could get a first time mechanical keyboard user to come on board. However just because a gaming mechanical keyboard is “budget friendly†does not mean it has to be poorly made, the POSEIDON Z series can also satisfy the mechanical keyboard enthusiast.
We spent two years testing various mechanical switches with its engineers and professional gamers. And eventually, we found the right one- with White Ra, Team DK, other sponsored teams, and our keyboard engineers all agreeing unanimously. The POSEIDON Z series offers users the budget friendly back-lit blue / brown mechanical switch keyboards, featuring brightness adjustment, anti-ghosting keys, media keys, and the ability to disable the windows key. The testing process for these mechanical switches was an arduous one, but these switches passed and we believe in them so much that Tt eSPORTS is now offering the world’s first 5 year warranty for a mechanical gaming keyboard. The current models out for the POSEIDON Z Series include the Z Illuminated and ZX, a tenkeyless form factor keyboard. You can see below, in the picture the size difference. The Z Illuminated is a full-sized traditional form factor keyboard, which is great for gaming and office use (that may include excel). Whereas the ZX, coming in a tenkeyless form factor, runs about 80% the length of a regular keyboard. By saving the space where the number-pad would have been, the ZX is easier to take to lan & great for environments where you may not have as much space to game. The ZX's space saving feature, may be just what you need to stop your mouse from running into your keyboard at those crucial moments. -

Tried several over the years, my new love is Tt Certified Brown Switches on the Poseidon Z.
Brown is not clickly like the Blue switch model so it is really up to the user on what they perfer.
I did a overview video on the Poseidon Z (Blue/Brown) a while back, if you want to hear the difference before you buy, you gotta check this out!
