2021 Thermaltake Ultra GIF Design Invitational Season 1

 
Taipei, Taiwan－October 15th, 2021－Thermaltake, the leading PC DIY premium brand for Case, Cooling, Gaming peripherals and enthusiast memory solutions, is pleased to announce the kick-off of the 2021 Thermaltake Ultra GIF Design Invitational Season 1, an event where we invite 6 talented modders from Germany, India, Malaysia, Philippines, Sri Lanka and the United Kingdom to battle it out.
Over a month, modders will be designing their very own animated GIF shows and upload them via the latest TT RGB PLUS 2.0 software on our Floe RC Ultra 240 CPU & Memory AIO Liquid Cooler. The cooler cannot be installed into a case and can only be secured to a motherboard or stand, modders are allowed to create a display stand to better display the cooler, more than that may result in a point deduction. Besides that, the modders uploaded GIFs cannot breach any copyright and must be made from scratch, other unauthorized content may result in disqualification. In the end, each modder will need to upload up to 5 GIF animations with a minimum of 3 GIF setups on the final video.
Each contestant will have the chance to win a total cash prize of USD 5,000 for achieving the top three positions. Contestants would not only be graded by Thermaltake judges and the TT CEO but also carefully selected by professional modders. Tt community members would also contribute 30% of the final scores for each contestant. Here is my entry for the Thermaltake Technology Inc 2021 Casemod Invitational season 1,
" Colony "
This custom spaceship  was done  free hand using 18mm mdf for the main base of the spaceship and 12mm for the rest of the mod. For the exterior i used old laptops and pc parts for the detail. Also utalizing the parts from the Core P8 case for the bridge, ssd holders, hard driver holders and the whole mod sits on the Core P8 stand a few inches off the ground giving that flying / floating effect. I added any old stuff i had lying around the house for more detail like Lynx deodorant lids for the guns old Persil liquid lids ect. I 3d printed the rear thrusters, satellite array, vents and rear conduit the TT men where resin printed and hand painted. The ship as 1.3m long by 900 wide and stripe down for easy access to LCS and pc parts, this also makes it easier to transport.
I want to thank all the sponsors for supporting this casemod event and a big thanks to Andy Cheng and Adam Faulkner, along with all my supporters and followers through out the competion. It's been an honour to compete against talented modders and for making it such a great  and freindly event.

Thanks for all support and  comment that all of you give me,overall my thought about this case mod is quite tiring and painful to be done,that true i use alot of part with cnc machine to have the shape but overall there alot of hand work and sanding to be done for finishing to get this effect for using such a cheap cnc machine that have finishing problem. alot of part need to be hand fix such a problem with roundness and material flex,overall its a satisfying result for me that i design with Fusion 360 took almost 3 weeks and the end product  look exactly with what i imagine in design.

like i said in previous post
the main idea started with a drawing I made 10 years ago,  the main difficulty was to bring this drawing to life,
specially  make a reservoir with this drawing
and  why not replace the whole front window with the drawing

for those who know me,  I lean almost all the time in the themes of angels and/or demons
this one i went with Angel,  
need the case all white,  let go for pure white 
and  what color is the best for a Angel's armor,  Gold

now we have the color theme  White and gold, and a bit of purple  to give some contrast
second steps  is  the armor and wings/windows
i redesign the whole drawing in Fusion 360, dont forget,  i dont know anything about fusion 360 not so long ago
it was not a easy task,  first reservoir simply explode  at first leak test,  my error was to remove to much material, the back was a bit to thin for the size of the reservoir
