    Dear TT staff

I recently purchased Blacx duet HDD docking station. A 3.5 SATA hard drive is not recognized when I insert it to the docking station. I cant see it in the device manager or in the disk management.

I have the blue power LED ON and it goes off when I insert the disk.

    Please help.

    Karthik

    Hello Karthik,

It seems to be a power issue with the dock.

I advise to have it return/exchanged with your retailer or we can have it replaced through its 3 year warranty.

To proceed through warranty, please submit a RMA REQUEST form here:

  2. Hello all,

Please tell me  what HDD's and SSD's I can use with hot swap docking station? I mean will I able to use Seagate HDD's for example?

    With regards,

    Konstantin

    Hello KonstantinWolf,

The hot swap dock simply acts as an extension to one of your SATA ports on your motherboard.  There is no controller paired with that dock.

That being said, brand names should not be an issue, as long as its a 3.5 or 2.5 SATA HDD.

Also make sure to setup up your motherboard properly to utilize hot swap.

If have any further questions, please contact Thermaltake Customer Service

  4. So I was having the problem of it not showing cpu temperature but would show cooler temperature. I also was having a problem when I would switch from silent to extreme. When I would go back to silent it kept running on extreme for whatever reason. I am running Windows 8.1 with two gtx 770 cards and 16Gb of memory with a Asus Hero board. I make sure Bios was updated and that windows was all up dated as well as all the drivers and it still acted crazy. So what I finally did was set Bios back to default and the wiped out the fan control software. Reloaded it and it works great. I have not had any issues since with the fans going crazy and now have the cpu temperature as well. I then went back into Bios and set everything back to the way I had it and for two days now it has been working without any issues. My cpu at idle is around 27c and under a load around the 45c mark and the thing is hauling. I love this thing. I think looking back I had windows 8.0 and did the update to 8.1 and for whatever reason that is what messed it all up. But I had had my cooler in my system for a day before I updated to 8.1 so I figured it was the fan control and not 8.1. Who knows but if this can help just one person out there I am happy with that.

Thank you dragon0269 for sharing! This will definitely help the community, if anyone runs into the same issue.

    1st. Uninstall the fan software.

    2nd. Power down your computer.

3rd. Unplug the USB cable for the fan controller from your motherboard.

4th. Power up your computer and boot into Windows.

    5th. Install the fan software.

    6th. Power down your computer.

7th. Plug the USB cable for the fan controller onto your motherboard.

8th. Power up your computer and boot into Windows, it should work.

Thank you heywire for sharing your solution.

I played with it a bit. I have a card reader sweet plugged into one of my internal 2.0 ports that works. So I unplugged that and plugged in the 3.0. Nothing is recogniZed but I did notice when plugged in to a USB port the fans slow way down but when unplugged they seem to be on turbo. Still nothing recognized under my devices page or when the software is opened. Do I need to return this product?

    Hello maverick,

The symptoms you are running into are unique, as I haven't come across what is going on with your setup.

You've troubleshooted the USB header and I assume followed heywire's advice to uninstall then reinstall the software.

You also mentioned that with the USB connector plugged in, your fans slow down significantly. Are you doing this as the PC is running?

Nonetheless, the USB/Fan speed issue is interesting and makes me believe this is an isolated issue and I would like to get into more detail with you.

Please give Customer Support a call, at your earliest convenience, so we can troubleshoot in real-time.

Once we've exhausted all possibilities to no avail, there may be a defect within the unit, and we will replace your unit through our warranty.

  6. I have the same problem.   Only the Micropon doesnt works. All activated. Nothing disabled or muted.

    Hello LeTITKill,

Have you checked under "Manage device audio" to see if your MIC is registering?

If not head over, and Select Recording:

Plug in your MIC.  The Microphone should become available:

Have the Microphone available is a good sign, but to make sure the MIC is functioning, speak into it. The green bar should fill up:

Please advise if the MIC is in working order. If you were trying to use it with services such Skype, Steam, etc, it may take a little tweaking with their settings, as I ran into a run around myself with Skype.

  7. Hello everyone. My pc case is a Thermaltake Armor+ with a side fan of 23mm. The fan is dead and i want to replace it and it seems that i cannot figure out the dimensions of the fan. Thermaltake claims the fan is 230x230mm but all i can messure is 200x200mm. My question is will a fan 200x200mm will fit properly or a 230x200 will do the job?

    Hello Gabbriel,

Any current 200mm fans in the market will fit your side panel for the Armor +

If you any further questions regarding this chassis, please contact customer support.

I have recently bought a BlacX Duet - ST0014U - Docking Station but I can't make it recognize my two Seagate Barracuda ST2000DM001 of 2TB each even on USB. I have tried on Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bits and on Windows XP 32 bits. Any help?

    Thanks,

    Katana

    Hello Katana,

Please advise if your two HDD's are brand new, or contains data you are trying to retrieve.

  9. thanks for the help. I just bought an extension.

I was just wondering. Dose thermaltake still sell the colorshift fan replacement?

    Hello Greshman,

If you are within the United States of America or Canada, you can find the colorshift fan available within our online store.
