  1. There's still going to be a fair deal of inactivity in this topic. When I do get those parts, expect pictures if not a video or two covering the build. I cancelled the order on the Talon for the moment since I might order it on Newegg instead, I might want to get some other stuff on Amazon anyway such as a USB 3.0 header adapter to work around the USB 3.0 plug instead of male header issue that the Commander MSI Epic has. I also got a couple Rosewill fans since they were one of the cheaper brands on the site.
  2. I ordered my Talon a month ago on Amazon although I cancelled it for now due to it still being on back-order (I might get it on Newegg next time I put money into Paypal or re-order the moment it restocks), which I'm fine with since I don't need it as much as I would the Challenger Prime or the Perixx DX-2000XL Mousepad (Which is basically like a bigger cheapo Ladon). I suppose the only thing left (Aside from my build obviously) for further down the road is a matching Tt headset whether it's a Shock or Cronos on sale or preferably if a new one comes out to complete the budget friendly suite.
  3. For me it would mainly be ATX or M-ATX, M-ITX is too small (and thus often lacks fan ports and such) for me but it's usually the form-factor that has built-in Wi-Fi.
  4. Not at all nowadays seeing as sound cards aren't as relevant as they were in the 90's. Only use is if you are an extreme audiophile or don't have any onboard ports for fiber optic audio and/or surround sound.
  5. I'm currently watching City Hunter (Most might know of the comical Jackie Chan movie or the Korean live-action TV drama) which is the culmination of what I love about classic anime: A great soundtrack, a protagonist voiced by Akira Kamiya (Voiced Kinnikuman, Kenshiro from Hokuto no Ken, Shuutaro Mendou from Urusei Yatsura and the main pilot in Getter Robo) plenty of lines spoken randomly in english, and m&m's logos appearing on fast food bags and toasters. Also watching the OVA series of Jojo's Bizzare Adventure, finishing up the original 1973 Cutey Honey, and for manga I'm a couple volumes into Riki-Oh (Another series more well known for its live action movie "Story of Ricky", albeit a polar opposite to City Hunter)
  6. Just got mine in the mail today, won't be putting it to that much use until I get a PC built since my laptop tends to have only one vacant USB port (ordered a USB hub anyway). The Talon's still on back-order, not that I really need it yet since the Logitech m510 will suffice for now.
  7. I still don't have any parts or accessories except for the keyboard and mousepad. Not that I wanted to get it over with earlier since it has given me time to look over anything I'm uncertain with and adjust accordingly.
  8. Still nothing yet, I'm fine with it since I'm really only paying for the peripherals (My uncle doesn't have much of an issue with this since he wanted me and my sister to do this sort of thing anyway) and I haven't really heard from him since he supposedly moved away from a brother of his that he lived with. Aside from getting the Challenger Prime and a mousepad, it's mostly been planning at this point. Now I have the chassis, but other than that it's been the same as ever.
  9. I grabbed Bejeweled 3, Crusader: No Remorse, and Dragon Age Origins through On The House before, if it wasn't for that and the fact Sims 3 & 4 require Origin It wouldn't be relevant to me whatsoever.
  10. I'm hoping for the Verto (I'd like to have a matching headset), although a Toughpower or Tt Dude will certainly be fine as well.
  11. I'm sort of glad this was made into a giveaway, to me a flipper-less game ain't exactly the best for a contest although it does give someone who isn't a freakish pinball wizard some kind of chance (Otherwise it'd be a squash match of who is, and I highly doubt a mere aspiring aficionado like myself would be one).
  12. If I had the know how to do so, I'd pretty much make mine in the style of a Zaku II Char Custom (It's essentially the namesake after all). Mainly with a paintjob that makes the case look like it has "red" (It always looked more pink than red) plating and metal tubing like the kind attached to the waist and legs as extra room for cables or watercooling. But it'll remain to be a red and black build with a vague Zeon theme to it if at all.
  13. Mainly red with black and/or goldish-yellow accents, I can settle for black with bits of red since there aren't many good mostly red cases for around $50 that aren't lacking in one aspect or another.
  14. I don't have any of the parts as of yet for it, me and my uncle are likely going to go to Micro Center sometime to get the bulk of them (Notably the CPU, GPU, SSHD, PSU and likely the monitor).
  15. 2 TB is more or less enough for me, seeing as I do have plenty of Roms and ISOs to store. 1 TB is also okay in tandem with an SSD.
  16. It was a bit of a luck-out that I got 40,100. I hope that the future weeks are more in my favor since I'm more for the Verto or Poseidon although I'll be content with a Tt Dude. Also wished the game allowed you to only have one high score entry per member/ip (Yes I'm looking at you FXfanboy and Damien), but seeing this was essentially a edit of a template game I suppose that can't be helped.
  17. I'll face mine down, probably the only reason I'd face mine up is if the case isn't made for downfacing or MAYBE if the PSU has LEDs (Like the OCZ Fatal1ty 550W that I might get).
  18. It's not necessarily an upgrade if I don't have parts before, but I'm jumping from Sapphire's 2GB 270X to their 3GB 280 since the latter is only $10 more at my MC. I might also do the same with replacing my i5-4590 choice with a i5-4690K if it's still only just $20 more there (at least if the sale lasts).
  19. I now ordered my Challenger Prime and Talon as well as a Perixx mousepad on Amazon, the Prime and Talon are both out of stock at the moment so it will be a while.
  20. Zero going on one for now, more to likely follow.
  21. Yeah it is on Amazon and Newegg albeit out of stock, they probably have yet to add it on Tt Buy or it isn't showing up since a recent keyboard called the Challenger Go! is there.
  22. I'd go with 8.1 as well due to it including its own free anti-virus and being a fair deal faster and more customizable, Windows still is practically the only OS one would get for gaming since I highly doubt Linux's WINE is 100% compatible with every program. I'll keep 10 in mind if it takes things in the right direction as 8.1 did.
  23. If I could I'd get a black or white case and paint it myself instead of having to deal with a surprisingly small selection of red cases (No offense, but I wish Tt had came out with a red version of one of their more recent designs like the Versas and Cores, the Commander MS-I epic's fine though).
  24. I'll be getting mine along with a Talon this month to go along with my future setup, both are really great looking accessories for their price range and it does help that you can freely change the light color of them so you don't end up with just one. Also I don't see either the Challenger Prime or the Talon on TtBuy, they are both on Newegg and Amazon at least.
  25. I'm looking forward to more budget friendly gaming accessories since not many big gaming accessory makers have them, especially an over-ear headset seeing that I'd like one that matches the rest of my future gear and the cheapest one Tt has costs as much as a Challenger Prime and Talon combined. As far as the parts department I wish there was red variation of one of the Cores although I'm at a loss for not being confident with paint. Although I'm likely in the minority here, I'd also like to see TteSports make a couple controllers (Since this post they made one, but this was mainly for iOS devices which aren't any of my concern). But what I really want is a proper PC equivalent of the Wii Nunchuck or the PS Move Navigation Controller (Split Fish FragFX is the best current thing although it comes with a proprietary mouse) for use as an alternative to the keyboard for FPSes and the like. I'd certainly get it if it doesn't cost too much since using WASD is a tad uncomfortable for me. https://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_detailpage&v=iT2ttUyagDc
