Williamoa reacted to yaapelsinko in Is there the way to get new cables for old PSU's CMS?
Hi.
I have the W0116 Thermaltake 750W model, from the times when it was all brand new. However, its two 6-pin PCI-E connectors looks insufficient nowadays. I already have to solder an 8-pin connector to a stock 6-pin cable.
So, is there the way I could get a couple of stock 8-pin PCI-E cables suitable for my model?

Williamoa reacted to Kyuui 1 in Level 10 Snow Edition Hot Swap bay issues.
Hello all, I'm hoping you guys can help me track down a problem with my L10. I've had the case for a while now but have had continual issues with my HD dropping out from windows (7, 64) Here is what I've done so far:
I removed the power array cable to see if that would help, it didn't.
Replaced the sata cable three times, no luck.
Relocated, swapped trays, and even replaced the drive itself, still no joy.
At this point I'm thinking its either the physical connector between the cable and the trays or a heat issue. I'm not super technical with hooking up the fans to the MB so I'm not sure how or, if I can speed up, the front fan. By chance can I order/replace the connectors from the tray to the arrays?
I'd really be bummed if I have to replace the case as I had some fun and had it professionally pin striped!

Williamoa reacted to themadtux in Orange I say .. Orange!
Ok... found the Riing fans yesterday and man really like the concept and from the videos and pictures, the smooth equal glow over the whole LED "channel" looks really impressive. Well I've been on a hunt for the 120mm Orange LED varient of the Riing and it's been elusive so far. Is this version available for puchase at this time?
Also any other colors on the horizon? Purple by chance
Well another question down the tube... thanks for the time!
Cheers

Williamoa reacted to Chris in v71 fan speed board only half working
I plugged the fan controller into one of my mobo chassis fan 4 pin connectors and upon first start-up I blew the 100uf cap on the bottom end of the board. After replacing the capacitor and pluging it in the right way into the power supply everything works except the fans. The fans are working using my h100i's fan connectors until I can find a replacement board or fix mine.
Question is does anyone have a fix for this? Or do these fans not kick on until it gets hot in the case? A friend says his run always.
Thanks
Chris

Williamoa reacted to Dirty South PC Mods in LUXA2 E-One Headset holder review.
Hey guys whats up The Mad Modder coming back at you with a quick look at the LUXA2 E-One Headset stand.
There are a few headset stands out there. Most of the good one are usually found in most Pro-Audio shops with a hefty price tag. There have been a few made for gamer's however most of them were made of sub-par materials and didn't last long. With that lets take a look at the LUXA2 E-One.
The box is brightly and clearly illustrated. The front of the box has a large illustration of the product.
Around to the rear we see another brightly colored illustration of the product. Below that are highlights of the 4 key features of the product.
Inside the package we find the product encased in a foam cocoon, and a users manuel.
As you can see the product is very carefully packed in a special foam sarcophagus to keep it safe from the evil delivery company on it travel to your desktop.
Once we take the headset stand out of the foam tomb. You get to feel the actual weight and how solid it actually is. The Metallic Silver gives it a high quality look to it.
Here is a close up of the LUXA2 logo and the high quality finish.
The bottom has a massive rubber padding the covers 90% of the surface to make sure you headset stand doesn't slide around, and stays where you put it.
The top of the headset rest has the same rubber padding as the bottom to protect your headrest on you favorite headphones.
And as you can see it does an excellent job of keeping my headset nice and safe.
Well there you go guys. The LUXA2 E-One Aluminum Headset Holder. I can defiantly recommend this product. It's solid construction, quality materials and luxury appearance set it apart from it's competitors. I also have the Hyperion from Tt eSports. I like it a lot as well but this fits my Modern Minimalist style better.
See you next Mod.

Williamoa reacted to Boddaker in R2M1
Hey guys, working on a new build project. This will be my son's case, and it's something I've wanted to do for him for a while now. He is into Minecraft quite a bit, but he also likes Star Wars. So when I discovered that there was a Star Wars mod for Minecraft, I knew I had found the perfect theme for his new case. So I'll be building a Minecraft droid named R2M1, using a Thermaltake Core X1.
Here is a screenshot of the droid in-game:
As you can see it's very basic, so it shouldn't be too difficult to transform the Core X1 into a droid. I went into Sketchup and whipped up a quick 3d model..
i'm hoping this will be a fairly quick build, but you know how that goes. With my luck, my son will be into some other game by the time I finish and I'll have to build him a new case! ;-)
More to come...

Williamoa reacted to Silent0ption in Will "Thermaltake Max 5G Active Cooling Hard Drive Enclosure" support my 4tb HDD?q
I'm trying to decide on an enclosure or docking station for my new 4tb WD RED HDD but am not sure if the "Thermaltake Max 5G Active Cooling HDD enclosure" will support it. Even though it says on the Amazon description that it only supports up to 3tb, this review in the link below says that "unofficially" this device will support a 4tb drive. (http://www.amazon.com/gp/customer-reviews/R1V2MXP5Q5HFXV/ref=cm_cr_pr_rvw_ttl?ie=UTF8&ASIN=B004G8QETI) So I just wanted to check in here to see if any of you folk have any insight for me...
Also if I decide to go the Docking Station route, any good recommendations for a good quality built HDD protector case?
The ones I've come across have many complaints about flimsy covers breaking off.
Thanks...

Williamoa reacted to Andrei Z in Where do I buy PCI cables ?
Alright, just bought a new vid card andrealised that my power supply does not have another cable for the PCI-E. My power supply does have 2 other 6 pin ports that should support another PCI-E cable and probably another for Molex or other, but I do not own any of them. Where to look for, so that I won't bust my power supply, or what alternatives do I have ?

Williamoa reacted to CyberDustin777 in DRACONEM Aluminum mouse pad
After waiting for a few months I finally got one of my own. This is a very sturdy, well made mouse pad for the gamer in everyone. With four rubber feet on each corner, and two spare feet in the box, it doesn't move across the table. The cord bungee keeps the mouse cord off the table so it doesn't get tangled on items on your desk. I have found my new favorite mouse pad, get yours today.

Williamoa reacted to WalamusPrime in Volos mouse button click issue
I bought a new Volos a few months ago and right from the start it has had this annoying intermittent issue where a button click won't register that I have lifted my finger off so, the mouse still thinks I'm holding the button down when I'm not.
So in FPS games if shoot a gun it will keep firing on its own. Or if I right click to aim it will stay in aim mode.
Clicking the "stuck button" again then fixes the problem which makes it hard to reproduce the problem on demand.
It doesn't happen with any one specific button, I have had it happen with left click/right click and even with the scroll bar. It happens once every few hundred clicks.
Firmware is updated to latest.
I took it back to the store I bought from but they claim they can't reproduce the problem after three days of testing. I have personally tested it on two separate computers and have had it happen on both.
Anyone seen this before? Not sure how I can convince the store the problem really exists if they don't test it extensively enough.

Williamoa reacted to Dabeavis in The Anime/Manga Thread
This is just a thread for discussing any anime we are interested in, have watched, want to watch, or whatever else applies.
I am easily a fan of classic anime including Kinnikuman, Fist of the North Star, Lupin the Third, Space Adventure Cobra, Ashita no Joe, Otokojuku, and Mobile Suit Gundam 0079 among others. I'm mainly inclined to classic franchises because I tend to feel MOST anime nowadays is too reliant on or deliberate with their use of fanservice and overly annoying characters compared to back then, thus I tend to avoid most modern animes but direct iterations/spinoffs of an older series (ex. Golgo 13 and JoJo's) or ones consisting primarily of adults (ex. Black Lagoon).
This is an image I once made by tracing over existing images of characters and putting them in one massive group pic, all of these except for Mazinger (waiting for better subs to be available online) I have watched at least one full episode of. Unfortunately I lost most of the individual images of each character so I can't really expand the roster without doing it all over again (It's not too difficult aside from Kenshiro and Gundam). I did do one recently of Moguro Fukuzou from Laughing Salesman (Which is my current avatar) but I'm not sure If I'll bother re-making the rest.
From left to right...Kitaro (GeGeGe no Kitaro), Ryotsu Kankichi (Kochikame), Mazinger Z, Kenshiro (Fist of the North Star), Lupin III, Astro Boy/Atom, Cobra (Space Adventure Cobra), RX-78 Gundam (Mobile Suit Gundam), Kinnikuman, Cutey Honey, Seiya (Saint Seiya / Knights of the Zodiac).

Williamoa reacted to newby in 1 Month old Theron sensor stops working
Hi,
I bought the Theron gaming mouse on May 8th.
On June 5th, the sensor stopped working while the other buttons continued to work. I saw other people had some issues with firmware but after trying all the suggestions and trying the mouse on other computers, I am sure it is a hardware issue.
When I turned on the computer again the next day, the mouse magically started working with no issues for the entire day. Now today, the mouse has stopped working again with the buttons functioning normally.
I sent in an email to support through the website on the 5th but have not yet received a reply yet. I also just moved and cannot find my original receipt..
I was wondering if anyone else had these issues and how long it takes for customer service to reply.
PS. I am from Canada.
Thank you
