  1. A while ago I was using TT RGB Plus 1.3.1 or 3.2 (not sure which) with no problems. I then updated my motherboard bios. I am using the ASUS ROG Zenith Extreme(original). I believe I upgraded from BIOS ver 1701 to 2001. In the change log for the bios on ASUS's website it says ROG ZENITH EXTREME BIOS 1901 Improve hardware monitoring compatibility with 3rd party applications. Fixed a boot issue when using a Quadro K6000 GPU. " Before running the USB BIOS Flashback tool, please rename the BIOS file (ZE.CAP) using BIOSRenamer.'' Ver 2001 would have the same improvements + more. Ever since updating, every version of TT RGB Plus from 1.2.8 (64 bit update) onward i have been getting a 0°C reading on TT RGB plus on my Threadripper system. Version 1.2.7 still works for me and I have been using that since, hoping a future update would help. This bios update also changed my other system monitoring software, in particular interest HWINFO64, which I believe TT RGB Plus uses a plugin to get temps from. HWINFO64 continued to work, however the reporting of ASUS MB values had changed title to asus wmi, along with other changes, like readouts being renamed, e.g EXT Tsensor1 changed to Tsensor 1 Temperature. There may have been more changes, I don't know. Im guessing a name change or something similar is the problem. Today I tried TT RGB Plus 1.3.7 because something caught my eye 2.Fixed AMD CPU temperature issue. Something different has happened. I got a temperature other than 0°C. 😀The problem is it is the Tctl temp and not the tdie temp.🙁 Which of course means ttrgb thinks my cpu temp is 65°C instead of it's actual 40°C, so my fans are going close to full speed now. At least they are cooling the system, 0°C put them on idle🤔 I'll add a couple pictures which are hopefully straight forward, basically just diferent TT RGB versions and what the plugin is reading and what the program is reading on my PC. CPU is generally around 40°C idle. I do now believe this problem is fixable but possibly only through a software update. I'm basically reaching out to any TTstaff that could possibly help. I know that a bios downgrade might work, but the new versions do have a few QOL improvements eg. mem stability etc. so would prefer not to. If anyone else has any ideas as to what else could be the cause please let me know. I have been thinking this will probably never be fixed but this new update has given me hope. Any help from anyone would be much appreciated. Thanks😀 EDIT: Sorry just found this thread :
  2. Hello, Apparently a lot of people are having trouble with the riing plus, but mine is a bit weird though I was having the same problem regarding the riing plus controller compatibility with ryzen. Contacted the local distributor and they sent me the new controller which is compatible and it did work. So I thought everything was solved, but not quite ... The next day, when I turned my pc on, the riing software gave a warning that no controller found with error code H_0x0001. I tried to unplug the cable and reconnect everything and restarted the pc but it still gave me the same error. I tried the detecting application that the distributor sent me previously, and it said 'no devices found!' Did my (new) controller just died?
  3. Hello, Recently built a new rig with the Riing premium 5pack. The software controlled everything perfectly with no hiccups. After a couple weeks I bought and installed the Floe aio CPU 240. It went great, the software recognized the second controller and I went to customizing the rad fans and CPU block. On my next startup the fans started in the default mode instead of my profile. When I tried to open the software the busy pointer ran for ~1 second and nothing happened. Now the fans are all in default, and the software won't start. I tried running in admin mode, I tried installing older versions, re installing the latest version. Please help! I love these fans but I want to be able to control the rgb! I can still manually control them through bios and MSI afterburner, but it still sucks I can't change the colors. Does anyone know if I can control the RGB with Asus Aura? So far I haven't been able to do so. My build, for reference: TT Core v21 Asus TUF B450m-plus Gaming Ryzen 2700 Asus ROG 1080ti OC 4*8 (32GB) Gskill TridentZ rgb 3200 cas16 Riing 5pack, Floe aio CPU 240, 2 controllers using the Riing5x provides double uUSB plugged into internal USB2.0
  4. Hey TT-Community, Problem: The FloeRiingPlus Software reads the temp including the 27°C Offset of Threadripper -> fans spinning at higher RPMs -> higher noise Solution: 1. Uninstall your current Riing Plus RGB Software. 2a. Download the older Version of the Software (It's V1.0.0 = http://www.thermaltake.com/db/support/software/RiingPlusRGBTtPremiumEdition_Setup.rar ) and install it. 2b. Or just download the two .dll files I attached to this Post. Continue with step 5. (HWiNFO32.dll and HWiNFO64.dll) 3. After you installed V1.0.0 go into the install directory (C:\Program Files (x86)\Tt\Riing Plus RGB Tt Premium Edition), then copy HWiNFO32.dll and HWiNFO64.dll onto your Desktop. 4. Now uninstall the Software again, and install the new one (currently V1.1.4 = http://www.thermaltake.com/db/support/software/Riing_Plus_RGB_Tt_Premium_Edition_Setup_1.1.4_x86.zip ) 5. After you installed the new version, close it, and go into install directory again (C:\Program Files (x86)\Tt\Riing Plus RGB Tt Premium Edition), and copy HWiNFO32.dll and HWiNFO64.dll into this folder. 6. Click replace and continue (if necessary) 7. Now it should work. @Thermaltake @Thermaltake Admin @ThermalMike Maybe you can look into this, I think it's just the wrong Version of HWiNFO. The new Version worked for me when I updated to it, but not when I clean install the software. HWiNFO32.dll HWiNFO64.dll
  5. I was drawn in by the shiny lights and bright colors. I should have known better. TT Floe Riing 240 does not work with Ryzen CPUs and TT will not tell anyone this until after you buy it. The software is a mess and there is no fix in sight. Whenever I try to use the software my PC fans rev up full blast and my PC shuts down. I talked with tech support about this and they know about the issue!@@####. I am returning my unit and suggest anyone with a Ryzen CPU do the same!
  6. Hey Everybody, The long and short of it: RMA'd the control box, dealing with the same issues (pictured). What I've tried: -Connecting to every USB port: directly on mobo, case front panel, and back of mobo. I restarted my comp each time I tried a new usb port. On the attached image, bottom right corner, I do see system Temp/IP address (removed) as well as all of my system specs after clicking the "Info" icon... -The mobile app (via usb cable) can connect, however can't make any changes. -Several versions of the Riing Software: 1.1.3, 1.1.2., and 2.1.5. Some didn't load, some presented the same error code pictured, some got past the error code however can't make changes. -I've tried installing the Riing software w/o the control box powered/connected to mobo, CCleaner'd any registry errors, restarted - no luck. -I've tried connecting the control box to another computer, Surface Pro, same issues. (Fresh install of Windows, yesterday) (BIOS and drivers updated today, details below) I do have an available RGB header on my mobo. Is it possible to bypass the control box and just use the software I'm currently using for mobo and cpu (Ryzen Spire)? Open to all suggestions. My Specs: -MOBO GA-AB350N (BIOS:F6a, most current) -USB Drivers updated via "AMD Software" (ver: 16.50.2601) -Ryzen 7 1700 -Zotac 1080ti -Windows 10 Home x64 (10.0.16299, Build 16299)
  7. Hello, I'm having issues running the software for the Riing Plus fans on my Ryzen rig. Software says it doesn't detect a controller even though it's plugged in. I've tried using a mirco usb to usb cable to see if that works, it didn't. Does anyone know how to fix the issue? Here are my specs, if ever it's needed. Ryzen 5 1600 MSI B350M Mortar Asus GTX 1070 8GB OC G. Skill Ripjaws 16GB Silverstone Strider Plus 500W
  8. Guys just wanted to say I've been dealing with the issue of Ryzen not working with the Riing Plus TT Premium software. I had been sent 2 separate controllers from thermaltake months ago and it never fixed the issue so I had just been waiting for a software update to fix the issue. On here last week I saw someone mention it was a hardware issue and thermaltake was shipping out new controllers so I decided to do an RMA and see for myself. I received my new controller today and can confirm, the new hardware is working with Ryzen now! Better late than never I suppose. If you have this issue, send in your RMA's now and explain you need a new version of the controller. Good luck to you all.
  9. Just wondering if anyone has fixed the issue everyone is having with Ryzen compatibility? I know my controller cable is connected proper, I hear a connected tone from Windows. It also says USB device has been connected and ready for use. However, when I try to open the program. It is listed in my task manager, and the icon on the bottom right is showing. But beyond that, nothing happens. Program opens when I disconnect the controller cable, found this out from these forums. But of course it says nothing is connected. I've messaged the admins myself, waiting on a response. But anyone with more information, I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks everyone for the time. - Frustrated Riing Plus 12 user
  10. To all Ryzen and Riing Plus owners. 1. There is a workaround so the Riing Plus software will load and you can start making profiles. Connect the controller using a Micro-USB cable to a USB port on the back of your motherboard. This will allow the software to load. Notice, not all ports work for everyone, so try more that just one. 2. Please like this post, and request support (here: http://my.thermaltake.com/csTech.aspx) so thermaltake can start noticing the Ryzen users. This bug needs to get fixed SOON!! it has been more than TWO months!! BTW. I did send a request but did not get "a satisfactory response within 24/48 hours " I got nothing yet. So post below if you did request support and post your replay if you get any. Thanks.
  11. I built a new system featuring the FX-8350 this past summer and I purchased the pacific r360 kit for it. With the release of AM4 around the corner, I was wondering if thermaltake's Pacific W1 waterblock will have support for it, and if not - will they sell or give us mounting brackets? Or will we just have to buy a new block...?
