  1. I recently experienced a very specific issue I haven't been able to definitely figure out, even though I remedied it: Long story short, I have two sets of SWAFAN 120mm fans (6 fans total, configured on three ports on the controller, in arrays of 3, 2, and 1). I started getting a Fan Controller Warning pop-up while specifically playing a video game. I looked up that issue and saw that many people get it without a known cause, and nothing was out of place. Everything looked good on the case, I ignored the error. After a day of seeing that error while playing games, and in the middle of a game, I looked over to my computer case where all 6 of the SWAFANs were stopped, yet all of their LEDs were still on-- the LEDs were even still configurable in TT RGB Plus, but their fan speeds all reported as 0 rpm. Resetting and rescanning the controller did nothing to get the fans moving again. When I restarted the computer, the fans STILL were not moving, with the LEDs on-- TT RGB Plus would even load the profile the same. I tested this with 5+ restarts, unplugging the power supply and draining the remaining power, etc, and every time it came up with no fan movement. The Fan Controller Warning also displayed once TT RGB started each time. Since I bought two sets of SWAFANs, I remembered that they both came with fan controllers. Assuming first that this problem was localized to just the SWAFANs (all other fans on the computer including the fans on my Thermaltake TOUGHAIR 510 were fine), I swapped out the controller with the extra one. On reboot, the fans came up just fine and the issue was solved. So if you're having this very specific problem, swapping out the controller is probably the solution. I can assume that I was getting a Fan Controller Warning ahead of this happening because there was something wrong with the original controller, but it's frustrating that these warnings don't actually cite what the actual issue is-- it would be great if that information could be made available? I don't know what the cause of my original issue is other than that the controller was maybe bad. So my question to the forum here: Does anybody know what would cause an issue like this, is this an issue with the SWAFANs specifically that other people have experienced, and would Thermaltake consider making the Fan Controller Warnings actually log what's triggering that popup? Also, can I plug the SWAFANs directly into my motherboard fan headers instead of using the controller? I value fans working more than I value clean cable management. If I could make sure this issue never happens again that would be preferred.
  2. I currently have 6 Riing Quad fans installed in my PC case with 2 controllers, each connecting to 3 fans. I had to clean my case recently, so I took all the fans out, but when I reinstalled them back and booted my PC, only one controller was working, and the other was not. I had them previously work perfectly. This time I only have the fans spinning usually, but the RGB will not light up. I also tried different methods like using a separate molex cable to power that controller, but the problem still exists. *I'm also thinking of buying TT Sync Controller TT Premium Edition to solve the issue, will I be able to control the fans in TT RGB PLUS if I do so?
  3. Hi all Building a new PC and just want to sanity check whether I can do this or if it will overload the Mobo and blow something up.. Case: Corsair 5000D Airflow (comes with 6 x 4-pin PWM fan repeater/hub). https://www.corsair.com/ww/en/Categories/Products/Cases/Mid-Tower-ATX-Cases/5000D-AIRFLOW-Tempered-Glass-Mid-Tower-ATX-PC-Case/p/CC-9011211-WW#tab-overview Mobo: MSI B550M Mortar Max Wifi https://download.msi.com/archive/mnu_exe/mb/MAGB550MMORTARMAXWIFI.pdf Fans: -2 x (3-Fan Pack of Riing 12 LED RGB Sync Edition fans) – https://www.thermaltake.com.au/riing-12-led-rgb-radiator-fan-sync-edition-3-fan-pack.html Instructions for the Riing 12s – https://thermaltake-au.azureedge.net/media/productattach/db/support/usermanual/_a2485c9a43f4414b8f482246010b8d37.pdf -2 x Corsair 5000D Case Fans -1 x Artic Cooling F12 PWN Fan (https://www.scorptec.com.au/product/cooling/120mm-fans/88929-acfan00203a) Questions: 1. The Riing 12s manual says I need to connect to the 12V RGB header on the Mobo. But the Mobo only has 1x 12V RBG header (JRBG1). Can I daisy chain 6 of the Riing 12 fans into the single JRGB1 header with no issues? Looking at the mobo manual the JRGB header has a max 3A rating, and the rated current for the Riing 12s are 0.2A – which will be total 1.2A for the 6 fans. But on the physical fan itself, the rating says 0.3A (I assume this is the motor and not the RGB?) – in which case the total would be 1.8A for the 6 fans. Would this be okay? 2. I want to use the supplied 6 x 4 pin PWN Fan hub with the case and connect all the fans to it; Can I use the supplied Riing12 3-splitter PWN cable to connect all 3 fans together and then into a single hub header? Effectively I will use 5 hub headers for the 9 fans that I have. 2a. The Fan Hub is powered by SATA cable from the PSU (so I don't need to worry about max amps here) and then I can connect the fan hub header directly to any fan connectors on the mobo (ie. SYS_FAN). Is this correct? Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!
  4. I just bought a 3 pack of Pure Plus 12 fans from Best Buy, and TT RGB Plus is not detecting the controller. I have seen a lot of things saying that this product doesn't work so great with Ryzen CPUs and that is indeed what I have (ryzen 5 2600). However, I tried plugging the controller into the usb ports in the rear and front I/O panels and it still went undetected. I have an Asrock B450m HDV R4.0 and I have tried both it's usb headers. The fans run fine and light up, but just the software will not work. The micro usb cable does work when connected to the motherboard since it charges my wireless headphones. I have also tried controller the software from my laptop with an Intel processor and it still does not detect the controller. Please help.
  5. Hi, Is there a way to fix a bug where once you execute the TT RGB Plus application, and the icon pops up in the taskbar and you hover your mouse over it, it then disappears? I'm not even sure that the App has fully loaded and/or has crashed during load. Anyone know of a resolution to this? I am using TT RGB Plus on a new PC rig, and it actually worked for the first 1-2 months or so, but I haven't been able to use it at all for the past 6 months or so. Not sure if it was an older version back then. Cheers!
  6. Hi all, I've been searching this forum for about 4 hours trying all the solutions I can find. But all of this effort is to no avail. I cannot get the software to detect the controller no matter what I do. The fans work, as do the LED's. But i have no option to do anything in the software. The mobile application does bring up my desktop, and the Razer Synapse software both show it as well. I have an ASUS Prime Z270AR motherboard with an I5 7600K. Any help would be appreciated. Edit: I have the Thermaltake Pure Plus 12 three pack with controller.
  7. I recently bought the Thermaltake View 31 (not the RGB edition, the one with two blue fans included, no controller). I want to ask where do I plugin the two fans? On the mobo and where? Into the power supply? Additionally I also ordered a pack of 3 Aigo fans with a controller. Where would I plug that? Urgently need help
  8. ive been having trouble getting one of my riing 12 fans that comes with the kit to sync. the bottom two line up and the fans are all oriented the same way but the first fan is just slightly off from the other two. do i need to have them in certain slots on the included controller or is this a known issue? its just really frustrating to be off by just a bit. like its just enough to see it but not enough that its obvious from far away. any ideas?
  9. good day TT community! 10. So I have a ThermalTake Core P3 SE case with a Ryzen 5 1600 @ 3.8GHz/1.24v on a Cryorig H7, and an MSI B350 PC MATE motherboard. I was wondering if it's unsafe for the VRMs or chipset to operate without case fans (as you probably know, the Core P3 doesn't support any case fans directed at the board). Thanks in advance!
  11. Hey There Everyone, I'm writing because I had the riing 120's and just picked up the 3 pack of 140's. I've got two 120's in the front and now have a 140 at the back and two 140's on my radiator. I have a total of 5 fans and have them all plugged into one RIING controller. When I open the RIING software it only has controls for three fans. How do I access controls for the last two fans? Many thanks in advance Burk
  12. Hi everyone, I just bought a Suppressor F51 this week and I'm tweaking with the fan configurations. I was curious if anyone else has toyed around with this case and if anyone had any tips. Here is my general set up... Bottom: 2x 120 mm Corsair SP 120 (intake) Front: Suppressor stock 200 mm (intake) Back: Cool Master CPU radiator + 2x 120 mm fans (intake) Top: Suppressor stock 140 mm (exhaust) I'm waiting on three more 140 mm fans, two for the top as exhaust and one on the side as intake. My overall goal is to push hot air up through the top and draw cool air in from the front, bottom, and back across my radiator and system. Haven't done a lot of toying with case fan configurations, so would love any advice. Thanks, Chris
  13. Ok... found the Riing fans yesterday and man really like the concept and from the videos and pictures, the smooth equal glow over the whole LED "channel" looks really impressive. Well I've been on a hunt for the 120mm Orange LED varient of the Riing and it's been elusive so far. Is this version available for puchase at this time? Also any other colors on the horizon? Purple by chance Well another question down the tube... thanks for the time! Cheers -Jason
