  1. was wondering if anyone else had this heat sink and could tell me if it was good or not. I used to volunteer at a small business building computers. after a certain amount of time, I was rewarded for all the volunteer hours I had by being able to build my own computer to take home. so I found a case that looked nice, and inside was an old looking heat sink on top of the processor. I took it to all of the people around the facility to see if anyone could tell me the brand so I could research it a little more. no one knew what it was. so I decided to examine it on my own. I took it off, and found it was completely covered in dust. it was staked EVERYWHERE. so one of the facility's workers told me to go use an air nozzle to clean it. they had one of those huge industrial ones, so I decided to clean it and the rest of my PC as well. upon getting all of the dust off of it, I found what looked like 2 letter "t" on the side. the fan also had blue LEDs when it runs. blue is my favorite color, so I kept it. for about 2 weeks, I kept asking different people if they could identify it, but nobody seemed to know anything about it. was testing out some motherboards one day and noticed that one heat sink on a processor had the same 2 letter "t" on top of it as my heat sink. so I looked at it closer, and found that it was a brand called "thermaltake." so I went through their website and found that my particular heat sink was a thermaltake V1. was very excited as I finally figured out what it was. so now I come here asking if anyone else has this heat sink and could tell me if it is worth buying another one. the one I have is really old, and I want to know if I should buy another to replace it, or seek a better cooler. thanks in advance.
