Tt Andy Posted December 16, 2014 Report Posted December 16, 2014 Just wanted to ask, how many graphic cards are you guys running? Do you prefer single card setups or multi card setups? for me i'm currently using 3 cards but i have 2 cards off about 90% of the time since the games i play run better with just a single eqeqeqe, Welchcows, Jeremybbhess and 1 other 4 Quote
HappyBuddhaman Posted December 16, 2014 Report Posted December 16, 2014 Currently I'm running one, but changing to two next year, three doesn't seem like it's worth it due to the minor bump you get for the money when adding a third card (no offence).Plus my MB can only handle two in SLI, three if I went Tri-Fire, but I'll probably stick with the nVidia chipsets. ZenDoom Posted December 17, 2014 Report Posted December 17, 2014 I'm running a single card in my main system. Cost is the biggest reason for why I don't run more cards. Plus, I haven't been gaming as much as usual--spending my money elsewhere Tt Andy 1 Quote
ThermalMike Posted December 18, 2014 Report Posted December 18, 2014 Always like having 2 cards in SLI myself. Have for several years! Currently running (2) 4GB GTX770 Classy cards They do the job for my 144hz for now... Tt Andy 1 Quote
AMISirMisAlot Posted December 19, 2014 Report Posted December 19, 2014 I don`t think i will ever go back to a single. I Like The SLI benifits myself 2 GTX660`s Super-clocked in SLI Tt Andy 1 Quote
Dabeavis Posted January 12, 2015 Report Posted January 12, 2015 Probably will keep to single, maybe if vram stacked with this sort of thing but it doesn't (That won't be until the R9 300 series). By the time an R9 280 is insufficient, one of the better 300s would go for under $200. Quote
Tt Andy Posted January 12, 2015 Author Report Posted January 12, 2015 Well i actually ran into a dilemma, because i will be going full LCS soon and the blocks for 3 cards cost as much as a card itself... Now i wish i had 1 very powerful card instead of 3 averagely good cards Quote
kinectking Posted March 1, 2015 Report Posted March 1, 2015 my 760 handles my needs well but im thinking about picking up one if it goes on sale, although I doubt it will Quote
MaxDestoryer Posted May 15, 2015 Report Posted May 15, 2015 Running a a single GTX 970. Previous build was a GTX 580 and after 2 years price drop i SLI it. Quote

peche Posted May 18, 2015 Report Posted May 18, 2015 i dont see the sense os SLI sometimes... i prefer so much 1 card.... strong enough for the battle! Quote
skline00 Posted May 19, 2015 Report Posted May 19, 2015 2 R9 290s (watercooled Sapphire Tri-Xs) with a 5960x @4.4Ghz with 3 480 rads all housed in the UBER Thermaltake Core X9 Quote
Tte Martin Posted June 9, 2015 Report Posted June 9, 2015 I'm using a single Sapphire Tri-X OC R9 290 (or something) and it's been serving me well for over a year now. I don't see a reason to switch to a Crossfire or SLI setup yet, it's running all my games at 144Hz and 1080p smoothly with high details. Quote
