Side buttons press and hold?

Hello, epicly awesome mouse. Got gamers RTS mouse. THERON (MO-TRN006DT)

Side buttons seem to work only as one click. Can program them to repeat the clicks if you hold button. But i cannot make them hold the actual click. I bind them to work as some key on keyboard. Letter "P" for example. You can press keys on keyboard and hold them. But when i press mouse side button (which works like P on keyboard) and hold it, the actual button press is just one fast click. It presses and releases, just clicks, even if i keep holding it.

Are mouse buttons suposed to work only in such way? It is impossible to make them hold button pressed?

Its relevant in game where you use skill that needs to be chaneled for few secs :(
