Hey everyone, 

Its time to get a build log going. This build is for the upcoming Eb Expo and PAX in Australia. 

 

I am Triple stacking the Core X9 Chassis. I have named this build Core X9³. 

 

I will update as often as possible on here but I may do more regular updated on my facebook page www.facebook.com/castlemods

3 x Triple Stacked Core X9 (chopped up and modified to suit)

 

Main Gear

Mobo - Unknown

PSU - Thermaltake Toughpower Grand 1200w Platinum 

 

Storage

3tb Western Digital Green HDD

1tb Western Digital Green HDD

250gb Samsung 850 Evo SSD

2 x Asus GTX 980 Strix

 

Cooling

6 x Tt Pacific 480mm radiators

2 x Tt Pacific P1 Pumps

2 x Pacific Asus GTX 980 Strix GPU Blocks

1 x Pacific W1 CPU Block

30 x Tt Riing 12 fans (blue and white)

Lots of fittings and tubing

 

Mods

Done:

All internal parts removed. 

Rear panels cut out

 

To be Done:

Front Panels measured up and cut for Waterfall feature

Waterfall made and attached to front panels

New Rear panels made with custom IO panel

Internal floor and walls made for top case

Custom Mobo tray

Mounting for GPU's

Custom rails for Radiators mounts

Shelf in middle case

LED light systems installed for front and top of case

I will update this list as i confirm more parts or change parts out.

Finally I have had time to get the photos of this build. Sorry for the delay. 

 

Here we have the Core X9³ build. 

 

Case - 3 x Thermaltake Core X9's

Front - Custom made Waterfall (part of the loop)

Fans- 27 x Thermaltake Riing 12 Fans in Blue and White

Radiators - 6 x Thermaltake Pacific RL480

Pumps - 2 x Thermaltake Pacific P1 Black D5 

Fan Controller - Lamptron FC Touch

PSU - Thermaltake Grand Power 1200w 

Water Blocks - 3 x Thermaltake GTX980 Strix Full Cover and 1 x Pacific W1 CPU Block

 

CPU - Intel 5930k

Mobo - Gigabyte X99-SOC Champion

RAM - Kingston Hyper X DDR4 4 x 8gb 2666mhz

SSD - 2 x Samsung 850 Pro 512gb

HDD - 1 x 1tb WD Green and 1 x 3tb WD Green

GPU - 3 x Asus GTX980 Strix

 

Dan and I have had a lot of fun and a lot of headache with this build. It was definately interesting, 1.5m tall and barely anything remaining from the oringal cases. I would like to thank all the sponsored that helped create this case and also those that helped. Its time to start benchmarking and overclocking, maybe a little bit of gaming to.
