flashbeem Posted February 12, 2025 Report Posted February 12, 2025 Hi all, I have the new Thermaltake The Tower 250 and wanted to install like on the packaging the fan on the bottom - below the motherboard on the plate above the PSU. Because a standard fan has the airflow direction to the bottom I got a 3-pack SWAFAN to use one of it. But I'm a little bit confused. The SWAFAN doesn't comes with a 4-pin PWM connector, it's like a USB motherboard connector. Additional there is a controller with it, but I don't need to install all 3 fans of the package. Am I able to use just one SWAFAN without the controller? And I got another issue, because I additional use the Thermaltake TH240 EX Ultra V2 and they come with a display on the cooler which needs an USB motherboard connector. Because it's an ITX motherboard it only comes with ONE internal USB motherboard connector. Great! Isn't it? :) Quote
Adver1939 Posted February 21, 2025 Report Posted February 21, 2025 Regarding the internal USB port issue, since ITX only has one header, you can use a USB 2.0 internal splitter (like NZXT Internal USB Hub) to expand the ports. This way, you can connect both the monitor on the TH240 EX Ultra V2 and the SWAFAN fan if needed. block blast Quote
