Question: Core V71 TG_Ryzen 7_Fractal Design Celsius S24 AiO_Asus Crosshair VI Hero Wi-Fi AC Build

Hello everyone,

I got my Core V71 Tempered Glass Edition tower for my AMD Ryzen 7 Build.  I have some questions regarding my build and the parts involved and I want to make sure that the arrangement of the parts matches my intent.  My intent is to have a push/pull fan configuration at the inside-top of the chassis with the radiator sandwiched in between the fans.  Cool air should come in through the front of the chassis.  The cool air should be pushed across the radiator using the 2x 120mm (12cm) fans that come with the cooling unit.  The large fan at the top of the chassis should pull the hot air from the radiator and send it out of the top of the chassis.  The 2x large fans at the front of the chassis and the rear exhaust fans will be unchanged and function as per Thermaltake's design when attached to the motherboard.

1 - Does the large fan at the top of the chassis push hot air out of the top of the chassis or draw cool air into chassis from the top?

2 - Where/how do I screw the radiator to the inside-top of the chassis?

Cooler's dimensions = 284 x 122 x 31 mm  (28.4cm x 12.2cm x 3.1cm).

Fans = 2x 120mm (12cm)

CPU = AMD Ryzen 7 1700x (AM4 socket)

Well the system is built and running.  I ended up finding the answers to my questions by examining the case itself and talking to Fractal Design's tech support.  To properly mount the AiO cooler I had to removed the large fan at the top of the case.  Although I was hoping for a push/pull setup.

The case is awesome but there are some small areas that could be improved upon.  For example, the hard drive bay cage used is nice in that one can snap-in a drive on the back side of the cage.  However, the design of the slots and mechanisms to secure the drives are less than optimal.  The designers should have used the Chaser A71 drive bay cage as a base as that design is superior.  I have 2x Chaser A71s (me and my son's older PCs).  With the Chaser A71 drive bay cage one can slide in and secure drives in a upside-down fashion (drive cover plate facing downward), which allows for better access to SATA and SSD drive data/power connectors.  The drive trays on the Chaser A71 and the mechanisms to secure the drives in places is also superior to the Core V71's latch mechanism.  Also, the motherboard mounting screw holes need should be shifted toward the rear of the case by a few millimeters.  Its a tad difficult to properly screw-in the screws for video and other expansion card due to the where the screw plates land at in the expansion card cut-out holes.  Never the less, I was able to screw in my EVGA 1060 6GB by squeezing the plate and the case until the screws could be lined up with the mounting holes.
