Conected 5 fans in the first controller, the micro usb on the same controller and the usb on the motherboard. Connceted the last fan on the second controller and linked the two controllers, also switched the first DIP switch up, on the second controller (to be recognized as controller 2). Started the software but it doesn't recognize the second controller, so I can't set the lighting effects of the fan on the second controller to be the same as the fans on the first controller. If you are using the link cable, try using the other cable from the Y cable that goes to the header. If both of them are not showing detection (Since you got the dip switch setup right) try using just controller #2 only and see if it works by itself. Could be bad controller or just a loose connection. Also, when you have the system on, unplug the power to the 2nd controller and reconnect it and see if it just shows up. I have followed the steps you have suggested and even swapped the Y cable connector linking the two controllers. I have 9 riing plus 12 fans, the the floe aio all connected to 2 controllers (5 on each). and I can only get one controller to be recognized at a time, either 1 or 2 depending which is connected to a certain end of the Y cable. see on either cord I use, only one end will register being connected to a controller. this is frustrating in itself. I have a ryzen system ryzen 7 1700x asus rog crosshair vi extreme. I'm a huge fan of these fans and thermaltake in general, but these fans are driving me nuts lately trying to get them all synchronized. I have just completed building a brand new 2020 spec gaming rig. Components are shown below: I am unfortunately experiencing the same issue described by OP, in that I am attempting to connect two controllers, having configured the DIP switches for both 1/2. It does not seem to matter what configuration I use to connect these two controllers, they both are only shown as controller 1 when I launch TT RGB PLUS - No controller 2 is shown, both will work in position 1. I was able to configure all the fans eventually by using one controller at a time, however the configuration is lost on re-boot, for the fans connected to which ever controller is not being recognised in position 2. I have tried a number of connections options including the MB USB 2.0 with the Y cable provided, Internal USB Hub, MB Rear USB 2.0, 3.0, and 3.1, and the USB 3.0 Hub included in the case. FattyPatty Posted March 28, 2020 Report Share Posted March 28, 2020 Resolved; After some research and guess work, motherboard compatability does seem to be a common theme for Gigabyte products. In the end, for me it was as simple as disable/re-enable the Generic USB Hub in device manager > Reboot > Both controllers now recognized within the App. All fans now auto configure on boot.
