Thermaltake Core P5 doesn't fit ASUS motherboard?

So I thought I was on the downhill run of doing final touches to my Core P5 with tempered glass panels by adding the steel cubes that attach the glass side panels, and it doesn't fit, it bangs against the port panel of my ASUS Crosshair VII motherboard. Now what on earth do I do Thermaltake? What a disaster to get to this point, and it isn't even designed for a common motherboard.

What did you end up doing ? I was about to buy both these items but I was worried about fit and found your post
