Riing Plus RGB controller connected to USB 2.0 header splitter

Hello,

I was working on a friend's computer, and installed a Thermaltake Floe AIO, and am using a USB 2.0 header splitter because his motherboard only has one 2.0 header and we needed 2 headers for all of his fan controllers. But, when the Thermaltake rgb controller is plugged into the header splitter, it is not detected by the motherboard. It is detected if we plug it straight into the motherboard.

I know I had this same issue on my mobo, but I have 2 headers so I was able to make it work.

The rgb controller works, as it's working currently. We just plugged it straight into the mobo, so that's not the issue.

Does anyone know if a USB 3.0 to USB 2.0 converter will allow it to work? It's essentially not a splitter, and is a direct connection, so was wondering if anyone has had any experience with it.

Thank you.
