Jeff In Indy Posted February 28, 2020 Report Share Posted February 28, 2020 I just got my RGB 650W today, pulled it out, hooked it up to the motherboard with CPU and fan attached (outside the case, of course), and turned it on. Nothing. No fan, no lights (and yes, I made sure the power saver was off). Dead. In all my years, I've never received a DOA power supply. Ever. Now I have to wait until tomorrow to buy a generic power supply from Best Buy that I KNOW will work. In the meantime, there go my evening plans... Is there ANY chance I'm missing something? EDIT: Yes, I am missing something. The paper clip test shows that it does indeed have power. So it's something else. Sigh. Gonna be a LONG night. If YES, please turn it off and try it again, because the fan won't work under 40% load. If NO, please return it to Best Buy.
