I managed to power the fan only with an external 12V power source by connecting ground to pin 1 and 12V+ to pin 2.

How do I power just the LED's from the same external 12V power source?

(I did not use the controller)

Hi Everyone:

I bought a pack of 3 Riing 12 fans for a wind tunnel science project for my son.

I want to run them directly from a 12V battery with the speed controller so he can have high and low speed.

Any idea which of the 4 wires i need to connect the 12V battery to?
