    Hi,

Could you give us a quick video to show the difference you are seeing? I have used both together in a build and they look fine. Also, let me know what the part number is on the MB you are using.

Sorry for late reply. ended up with the 9 port controller controlling everything but the PSU obviously since it's not supported. Aura effects working much better than TT software effects so I stuck with that plus I wanted lumi strips connected as well.

  2. Having trouble with connecting and syncing all of these to asus aura. I managed to get my floe riing and 3 rad fans plus 2 strips working on the controller but the last strip I get nothing. It's not the strip. I believe 1 or more of the ports on my controller just don't work as I can swap strips on existing ports and they work fine but they won't work on the remaining ports. Possible blown up ports? thoughts? I guess I could buy yet another controller and swap it to test.

    Hi,

As long as your MB is on the support list which needs the +5v RGB LED header. If it is +12V header it does not support addressable.

Glad you have it working, sorry for any issues, the PSU has protections built in like most in the market, if something was going on with the PSU it would have triggered it and shut off.

So I finally was able to use the 9 port controller again to sync up my AIO with asus. I also installed an NZXT internal USB hub to gain more internal 2.0 pinouts. Installed the regular Riing+ controller as well without any fans connected to it for the sole purpose of syncing my iRGB PSU to the tt software to gain the extra color effects. It works! It's still weird how choppy the wave pattern effect is on this 140mm fan. It seems much more smooth on my 120 riing plus fans.

  4. Bought a pack of the rainbow sleeve cables. Said universal however I'm learning that iRGB is not supported simply because it uses a split double connecter on the atx cable on the PSU side. Anyone know any mod cables that do work for this PSU? I need to return these other ones I guess.

  5. For above poster. Check your molex and double check your molex. The pins tend to pop out of the plastic connecter very easy if they are misaligned at all when trying to connect. This is why I much prefer the sata power on the 9 port premium controller.

  6. As a followup to this I received a new AIO as the other one was pooched. Installed and went back to old controller. working, however I can't plug in the USB to my PSU so it's stuck on stock settings for now. Fast forward day later, MB fried. So that's two items now after using this PSU but the PSU appears to be working. Bizarre. New board is in and back working as intended.

Question: Can I use the 9 port hub and sync everything to Aura sync safely (other than the PSU of course) and still use the DPS software to control the PSU lighting individually?

  7. Well the controllers and software are already buggy with a few devices and 1 controller. With 3 controllers and up to 9 devices this sounds like a nightmare with no light on the horizon. You could always try the 9 port controller and put everything into that and sync it with your MB but you will lose functionality of the TT software completely and have to use your MB software to configure the lighting. From experience, the lighting effects are smoother this way but you lose some functionality and individuality per device. Good luck my friend.

    Hello,

The iRGB Plus Power Supplies are not supported with the TT SYNC controller as stated on our website.

I see where you are, contact our support for options: https://thermaltakeusa.zendesk.com/hc/en-us

If you have any information that states any PSU is compatible with the TT SYNC controller, please share it and we will take care of any misinformation for the inconvenience.

Turns out it wasn't a bug or incompatibility issue. For whatever reason the psu surged or something and permanently wrecked the lights in the fan and aio. The store was kind enough to give me a new cooler and they all seem to be working now with the regular controller. I just can't uses aura sync.

  9. Just adding a little information to this. It looks like the iRGB PSU has permanently wrecked the lighting on both my floe ring and riing plus fans. I reinstalled the old controller and the lighting is still stuck in the same mode as above. the software even recognizes them but will not change out of this buggered color mode. unbelievable.

  10. I received my iRGB today thinking great, this would be able to sync up the color effects with the floe ring and rad fans that are connected to my 9 port controller and currently synced with asus aura. Not only does it not work but as soon as the psu is plugged into the usb header on the board it seems to completely mess up asus aura on these fans and puts them into a weird, almost colorless flashy state. See short video link below. Is there anyway to use the 9 port controller with the TT software and forget about aura sync?

  11. FYI Another bug with this system is if you happen to be using Asus aura sync with the TT premium 9 port controller, not only will you not be able to control your PSU RGB, but upon plugging the PSU into your MB usb header it will mess up the controller syncing with asus aura and all the RGB effects on your Floe riing and Rad fans will bee stuck in a weird dim color state with odd flashing. And for someone like me that built my entire system in an ITX build in a P1 case I only have 1 usb 2.0 header on the board so I can't even go back to using the regular controller to somewhat fix the issue.

    Hi,

What version of the ASUS Aura are you using? They have a couple different versions, make sure you get the one for your motherboard specifically and that you have the latest version.

You responded in my thread about this. It was PWM pulses causing the LED flicker. Changed to DC in bios from PWM. No more flicker.

Make sure you uninstall the Riing Plus software.

Does this "jumping" happen on all modes or only specific ones?

    thanks for any info.

    Mike,

I figured it out. It's PWM in the bios. The pulsing is causing the leds to flicker. When I swap to DC on my fans it seems to fix it. I also swapped my controller power to the CPU fan out vs case fan out. Not sure if that did anything. Pump is on AIO.

It's syncing now with no flicker. I do have a question though. It seems asus AURA is treating my entire controller as 1 LED. So many of the affects in asus aura put the same color on all of the leds plugged into the sync controller. Is this intentional or am I still supposed to be able to independently control the effects for each of the rad fans and the AIO led? When it's on rainbow it seems to cycle through everything but the other effects like wave won't work as the controller shows up as ADD_header_1 in aura and you can only choose 1 color for many of these effects.

I might go back to the old controller with TT software if this is the case.

  14. I bought the tt sync controller recently. I took out my other riing plus hub and installed my cooler and fans into the sync controller and hooked it up to my board on the rgb addressable header etc. My issue is the controller seems to "work" but the lighting scheems seems to flicker like it jumps ahead in the color cycling quickly and then goes back to normal speed. I switched to different leads etc and same thing. Anyone else ever have this issue?

I opened a ticket to be told the cable is not available yet and I should buy the new CL-O015-PL00BL-A TT Sync Controller.  I can solve 2 of the problems with your software/hardware for only $30 (not detecting one of the temps correctly) and not working after sleep mode.

Want things to work as advertised?  Buy an upgrade or wait some undetermined amount of time for us to fix our problems!

btw I bought this controller just today and tried it out. It definitely syncs my Riing plus up to asus aura, however the entire lighting scheme flickers. I've tried everything and it keeps doing it with this controller. it's like the lighting just skips ahead for a second then goes back to normal speed. I'm guessing this is some bug. I'd like to know if anyone else tried this controller and had this issue.

I am using 2 controllers, 1 for 1 exhaust fan, and 1 for 3 front intake fans, I had the same issue, I found that on Asus motherboards (mine is the ROG STRIX B350-F) you have to turn off the "extreme quiet" button in Fan Expert 4, inside the Dual Intelligent Processors 5 app. Once the mobo sees that the processor is cool, it will throttle the power to the fans and put them in "Extreme Quiet Mode", this is only an issue after a sleep cycle, because the computer is cold, so I would have to open my case, cycle to my preset for the controller on Exhaust fan header 1, and it will hold, did not do it on fan header 2 with my 3 intake fans, but I just tested this, and I put the computer to sleep and all my RGB came back up when I came out of sleep mode. I will update if it still works after a long sleep cycle.

I also have a z370-I. Don't think dual intelligent processors is even supported for this board so that fix won't work here for us.
