Maan, spent a week trying to ferret out this issue.  I rolled the driver back because 1.25 was buggy for Ryzen systems and all of the sudden the software wouldn't start.  Tack, you hit it on the head and FINALLY got the software back up.  Thanks bud.

I can confirm the same thing.  Updated today on a MSI x370/1800x set up and the fan fluctuations are going crazy right now.  Thought I was losing my CPU for a bit there.  Please fix ThermalTake!
