[How to fix GPS locking up problems?]

I am dedicatedly operating Garmin GPS unit for searching the right path. When I make the search any route in Google maps, I am facing GPS lock problems in Google maps. This is the first time for me that I am experiencing this technical problem. I am thinking that it is the issue of Garmin GPS update. I am not sure about this technical concern. I am applying my troubleshooting skills for resolving GPS locking up problems, but unable to resolve this error. Can anyone provide the solutions for resolving this GPS locking issue?
