Controller Not Recognized

For what it is worth, and apologies for necro'ing this thread, I had a problem with my single controller all of a sudden not being recognized. Under device manage I saw that one of my USB devices had a caution flag. I disabled (NOT uninstalled) the device and then immediately re-enabled it. That has worked for now.
