Hey everyone, I’m planning to build a Direct-Attached Storage (DAS) system and I’ve chosen a Thermaltake case for the build. I’m looking for suggestions on the best storage layout for a DAS build, focusing on maximum performance, airflow, and cable management. My goal is to set up multiple hard drives or SSDs for the DAS system, and I want to make sure everything is as efficient as possible. I’ve been considering a few options: Vertical HDD Mounting – This would allow me to take advantage of the case’s space while keeping things organized, but I’m concerned about airflow. Horizontal Mounting – Would this help keep drives cooler? Any thoughts on mounting multiple drives in a row to reduce cable clutter? Drive Bays & Cooling – Some Thermaltake cases come with modular drive bays and extra cooling options. Should I invest in extra fans, or would the stock cooling suffice? Also, are there any specific drive enclosures or accessories you guys recommend that would make the build easier or more efficient? Looking forward to hearing your ideas!
