We have been out this weekend grabbing essential supplies from local model and hardware stores. 

Three weeks to go so Katie will be full steam ahead creating her model scene. 

She will be crafting and painting the foam blocks.

The plantation below will also be used in the build, hmm wonder what the blacklight is for. 

Katie will be reveling the project theme next week and she has also decided both side panels wont be used.

Katie has been working hard this weekend only 2 weeks left. 

Katie loves using modpodge she always been good using craft materials and trying out some uv paint. 

Side panels removed replaced with a rock face, wonder where she is going with this build. Loads more small details to add then get the loop sorted.

2024 Thermaltake CaseMOD Academy  Well it's time to reveal Katie's theme Project: Pandora 🌎

We both took a day off work and Katie been at it all day, she is tired but with only one week to go back at it tomorrow.

Katie decided she wanted the tubes black, and painted the Avatar logo blue.

Katie has been a fantastic student, listened, watched, and put new skills to practice on her Avatar build. 

She has even taught an old dog new tricks on her creativity and can't wait to see her build come to life.

Sneak peak of Project Pandor 🌎 Avatar.

Its been a tough weekend Katie has pushed hard after having Novo virus all week.

But we managed to catch up only the crate left to build and get the mod packed up tomorrow night after work.

Katie has been a pleasure to teach and I am so proud of what she has achieved, her mod is truly a master piece. 

For been 16 she has worked hard and it's paid off even taught me a few tricks.

While adding some final details today, Katie dropped some super glue on her paint work. I explained thats modding sometimes things go wrong.

But we managed to fix it mixed some 2K matt
paint and hardener, sanded the affected area with some 800 grit and done a few light flash coates to blend it back in.

Katie wanted floating rocks for the Avatar mod, so we added last-minute details  before we crate it up in the morning, ready to be sent off to a ssecret location.

Well what an experience this has been, I am so proud of Katie she has been an inspiration to teach.

Her creativity and passion for this competition has been exceptional, we worked right up until 8pm last night adding small details to the mod. 

It's been tough at times trying to fit it all in between my work and Katie starting full time colledge, we have clashed a few times. But she put sweat, blood and tears in to this build getting home from colledge at 1830 and cracking on with th mod till late at night. 

The finished product she has created is amazing making me one proud dad, and thanks to Karwn putting up with all the mess and model paint on the kitchen table lol, luckily its cleaned off. 

Team IST will be heading down to London this weekend to a the secret location to set up the mod which will go on display for a month.

Hi my name is Katie I am one of the youngest contestants at the age of 16, I want to thank everyone who has supported me and my dad on this amazing journey and taken time to read my blog and watching the videos.

Also a massive thank you to my dad for putting up with me and teaching me how to build a pc it's not been easy I know lots about horses but nothing about computers.

He has been an inspiration to me learning me lots of new skills after his long shifts at work, I learnt how to mix 2K paint and preparing the panels to get a perfect finish.

Learnt how to model with foam and polysterene using a hot wire cutter, hacksaw and plyers, scatter and model foliage and making vines. 

I had so much fun bending tubes he made me keep doing it till I got it right, and most of all using modpodge glue to add some detail and paint to the custom rocks 🪨 using UV paint on the plants and got lots of it on the dinner table mam not happy lol.

A big thank you the Intel and Thermaltake UK for inviting me down to an amazing weekend in London at the Intel AI store, where my Avatar pc has been on display for the past four weeks. 

This is my first time in London and was made so welcome by all the team and had the best chinese food that I have ever tasted in a small back street restaurant.

Also thank you dad for upgrading the train to 1st class and taking me on a shopping spree. 

The CaseMOD Academy has been an experience I will carry with me for ever and hope to follow in my dad footsteps creating some amazing custom computers. ❤️
