Tt floe 280 and sync hub mobo connection

Hi,

I recently purchased the 280 floe AIO cooler and purchased a few riing fans for my case. I also bought the Tt sync hub to make them play nice together.

Now, my mobo has a dedicated aio header, however the install instructions for the floe say I need to install it in the cpu_fan header.

I'm thinking of doing the following. Install the pump on the AIO header. Install the radiator fans on an 'edge' of the hub, and connect one of the pwm adaptor cables that came with the hub to that edge and the CPU_FAN header. Now I have two questions.

1) Does this adaptor cable play nicely with the mobo, or will the bios not properly identify it as a connected fan (and fail to boot since it can't find a cpu fan)? Will the fans be properly pwm controlled in this way?

2) Any concern with connecting the pump to the AIO header? Will it hurt the pump in any way? The mobo is the maximus X hero.

Sorry for the wall of text, hopefully I was clear enough for me to get help with this.

Cheers!
