ghuber Posted October 6, 2019 Report Share Posted October 6, 2019 Sorry, for my rather dumb question: I have a Contac 39 cooler (still happy with it) the cable of which is currently attached to CPU_FAN on the main board. Now I received a card reader with integrated fan speed control and I wonder whether I could simply attach the Contac 39 to the 4-pin header there instead of the mainboard. If I do so, will the mainboard post an error and will I have to disable fan detection in the bios, or will the system still be aware of the fan?
