  1. This is absurd. I bought 9x 120mm Pure Plus aRGB fans and out of the blue they start sounding like jet engines and the lighting software is FUBAR'd. I am using 2 controllers that are linked and coinnected to the mobo via USB. Mobo is an Asrock Pro3 Z97 and in the BIOS I have case fans set to Silent (Tried Custom, Standard, makes no difference to the fans). Issues: 1) Setting the fans to "Silent" only and set the 0% to 100% bar at 20%, the fans are running at 800+ rpms with CPU temp at 50c. 800 is not 20% of 1500 (the max of the published rom range for these fans). 2) When on controller #1, I set Fans 2 and 3 to "Silent" and 20%, I click Save, good. Now, on controller #2, I set fans 2 and 3 to 30% and click Save, fans 2 and 3 on controller 1 are now 30% and not the 20% that I set them at. 3) When these fans are set to PWM, they constantly cycle through huge fan speed bursts ramping up and down between 600rpms all the way to 1200rpms in a blink of an eye. CPU temp is fluctuating while opening a program. When I open the software to check which individual fan is ramping up, by the time the software opens up, the fan speeds have slowed down. 4) Finally, out of the blue, despite clicking the Save button over and over and over, every time the software opens, I see that it doesn't remember the name I assigned to each individual fan. I've spent 2 months now fiddling with this software, uninstalling and reinstalling, messing with BIOS fan curve settings, reading these forums. I'm a huge fan of Thermaltake having bought multiple cases, multiple sets of fans, and multiple power supplies, but this issue is compelling me to simply leave Thermaltake behind. These fans ain't cheap. They worked well for a couple of months before now just going haywire. #### it, look at this....with the CPU at 47c and the fans set at 20%, they're turning at 800+ rpms. The fans set at 0% are running at 500+ rpms...that's 0%? of what? is there a clear guide on setting up these fans and they interact with your BIOS fan settings? If not, then I want a refund for these things. This is just insane.
  2. ThermalMike says via FB that the modules will connect together, so... time to get on with building this out, although still waiting for my TT riing plus 20s to arrive.
  3. It appears that the Riing Plus fans are compatible with the controller module that come with the View 37 RGB case. However, what remains to be seen is whether the 3 hub module that comes with the case will daisy chain to the 5 hub module that comes with the 3 packs of riing plus fans. I've just asked ThermalMike that question via Facebook. It really is surprising that TT would have a 3 hub controller just for the case while including a 5 hub controller with the 3 packs of riing plus fans. Now I see why the pcpartpicker poster had to buy a 9 hub controller. Fingers crossed tbat the 3 hub and 5 hub controllers can be daisy chained.
  4. That's what I am expecting, though a guy at pcpartpicker indicated that the fans he bought separately for this case were not compatible (they were riing plus fans) and he ended up having to get the 9 port controller.
  5. I am purchasing this case - https://www.thermaltake.com/chassis/mid_tower_/view/c_00003205/view_37_rgb_edition/Design.htm That page indicates that the case comes with 3x Riing Plus 14 fans. There is also a controller included. I am purchasing 2x Riing Plus 20 fans. Will the controller that comes with the case connect with the 2x Riing Plus 20 fans that I am purchasing separately? Thanks in advance.

  8. So, Thermaltake built the View 37 RGB case to include a built-in PCI controller bracket that mounts to the pci slots at the rear of the case...but TT left this feature off of the ARGB version. What is going on at TT that they have these massive oversights?
  9. Yeah, I talked to CS yesterday and was advised that the fan connectors of the fans included with the View 37 are not compatible with the controllers that come with the Pure Plus fans sold separately. I think I made an error in assuming that the included case fans are the Pure Plus. TT's marketing materials refer to them as Plus fans and the pictures of them appear to match the Pure Plus fans. However, TT nowhere that I can find actually tells us what the included case fans are. You noticed yesterday something that I missed and that was the absence of the USB connector. I also missed that the fan connector that connects to the included controller that comes with the case doesn't have the same pin out as the Pure Plus fans sold separately. CS was apologetic and also similarly confused by what appears to be the same fans, but different connectors. Unfortunately, CS wasn't aware of Pure Plus fans in 200mm size, so, I can't even buy them let alone maybe just swap with them. I PM'd ThermalMike via the forum here and also messaged him via FB, but no response, yet. I hope that means he's seen the messages and is tracking something down. What's worse here is that even if I wanted to go with the standard View 37 RGB case, that's $20 more than the ARGB I have in the way. Worst case scenario is that the 3 included case fans in the ARGB may not be perfectly sync'd with the additional fans I am installing. I can't imagine how that would look, so I'll do my case switch and if it works, cool, if not, then I send it all back.
  10. One suggestion ThermalMike and TT...don't make two different connectors for the same fan. I have the View 37 ARGB along with 3x120 and 3x140 Pure Plus fans on the way and I found out today that I am returning all of it. That is because the Pure Plus fans on the View 37 ARGB will not connect to the fan controllers that come with the 3x120 and 3x140 Pure Plus fans. I cannot express my frustration and anger about this. I spent months looking at and comparing cases and fans before settling on this only to realize the day before receipt that TT decided to use different connectors on the fans that come with the View 37 ARGB case than those sold separately despite being the same fan. And absent scrolling down the Design page to see a small pic of a integrated case controller, none of the promo pics of the case at Amazon, Newegg, or even in the gallery on the TT page displays this controller. Why would a consumer even think that one Pure Plus fan would not connect to the controller sold with other Pure Plus fans? To make matters worse, TT customer service wouldn't let me just send them the fans from the case and swap in regular Pure Plus 20s + 1 Pure Plus 12 fans with regular connectors. Even more irritating, if I want to buy the View 37 RGB, well, it costs more than ARGB at the moment. I've only ever bought TT cases, PSUs, fans, etc., but after this experience, I may need to move on. Maybe Mike or the customer service team might see this and contact me to see what we can do.
  11. Absolutely infuriating...the Pure Plus fans that come with the View 37 ARGB are not compatible with the Pure Plus fan controller you can buy from a retailer. Unreal. Why would they do that? It's the same damned fan. Worse, TT doesn't sell the 200mm Pure Plus fans as stand alone items, they're only available on this case (maybe others). And, worse, they wouldn't even let me send them 200mm fan and 120mm fan from this case for direct replacement with connectors that would work with the fan controllers that come in the Pure Plus 3 packs. Maybe I am being unreasonable, but that seems like an super simple fix if their going to engineer products this way and not make compatible products available to consumers.
  12. That would be incredibly frustrating if you can't connect the fans that come with the case to the controllers purchased with additional fans. What an oversight that would be.
  13. Thank you. I wrongly assumed that the controller that came with the fans was a 3 fan controller. My mobo doesn't have a rgb header, so it looks like I'll be using 2 controllers and maybe even be able to connect them to the pci bracket so I can control them all without removing a panel.
  14. Hi all...I am buying a View 37 chassis aRGB with the 2x200m Pure Plus fans up front and a single 120 Pure Plus in the rear. In addition, I am also buying a 3-pack of the 120 Pure Plus and 3-pack of the 140 Pure Plus. In all, I will be running 2x200 front; 3x140 down the right side; 1x120 rear; 2x120 bottom; and, hopefully, a 1x120 on a Cryorig H7 air cooler. I understand that this chassis comes with a pci bracket that can control fans, but it appears that it is limited to 2 controllers being connected at one time. Hence, I am trying like heck to find a how to on how to connect 5 Pure Plus fans to one of the controllers and 4 to the other. Or, alternatively, if I can't run 5 and 4 fans off the controllers, then maybe get my hands on another pci rgb bracket such as comes with the case. Now, I am working with a non-rgb mobo, an Asrock Z97 Pro3. I believe I have sufficient usb ports on the mobo to plug the controllers into. Is there a how-to video for connecting five fans to a single controller relative to the Pure Plus fans? Thanks in advance. Any advice/suggestions is appreciated.
