  1. Sorry haven't posted in awhile, I want to let you know after buying a bunch of 3310 mice, It isn't the ventus r that's an issue its the 3310 sensor in general has this bug.. It's very hard to notice in mice with low LOD like for example Zowie's line of mice. But in other 3310's it's very easy to tell.. the firmware of 1.10 fixes all the click issues with this mouse and the newer software allows you to adjust the LOD to all the way low.. Therefor making it as good as it's going to get. Hopefully knowing this will give you peace of mind This mouse is a very good mouse, very comfortable, perfect with the new updates. Nice crisp clicks, Thank you guys for making it and even more thanks to everyone behind updating the firmware, software, etc.. david as well.
  2. I'm starting to think the bug isn't a bug at all and there's something inside the mouse affecting the sensor because when the LOD is all the way low it doesn't jump when lifting and such its only if you can get it to hover just a bit so the sensor isn't being able to work fully.. Possibly they put a stamp or tape on the back of the sensor and when removed it might fix the problem.. can a engineer test this theory?
  3. Well "some" players like to have a high LOD so they can still track while lifting the mouse, "MOST" players like a really low LOD so as soon as they take the mouse off the mousepad to reposition it, it stops tracking until you put it back down. For me having it extremely low is best on any mouse. But with this mouse specifically it has a bug where if you are hovering the mouse and its tracking at all it will lag and jump so set it all the way low and hope it doesn't track at all on your lifts/swipes/etc until they fix the issue, then you can set it how you want.
  4. Just tried this, it updated firmware to 1.10 and DID fix the mouse3 bug.. now I can hold it down and still use the other buttons.. VERY NICE. The band-aid of adjusting LOD really low does help greatly with the lag issue, but once that is fixed completely this mouse will be on a path to greatness. I want to thank you David for making them engineers fix these issues. I do hope there is still someone trying to figure out what line of code is causing the mouse to lag when using lift off.. keep us updated and link any new firmware as I check this forum all the time. Thanks!
  5. I tried the link, the link doesn't work, is it to a new version of firmware?
  6. good to see some forward progression.. I tried the new firmware as long as you turn the LOD all the way low now you won't notice the lag.. I don't think its truly fixed because there's virtually no LOD and the problem still occurs when you have some LOD, but I probably can use this mouse now without ever noticing because I don't need the mouse to track while lifting it off.. I'd still like to know its fixed at all levels of LOD but can we fix the issue where the mouse scroll button when pressed stops the other buttons from working like mouse1 and mouse2?
  7. That's what it seems like, months and months go by with no updates on if they're even working on it. A fix that I would literally fix in one day if my profession and job was to figure out the firmware issues and solve them. I don't get why there's such a lack of desire to fix a product they sell? maybe because 95% of their consumers are plebs who wouldn't notice. In one regard I feel they don't care because they accept the fact they're not a mouse company and don't care about their mouse genre reputation. But I think they're making a mistake in not realizing what a great mouse they have potential wise. Oh well!
  8. You must of just bypassed this very short thread and posted your own issue not realizing this has been covered already and alot more efficiently. "add a lod option" isn't the fix as an LOD option would only change the "LOD" (obviously). The "LOD bug" is firmware related and needs to be fixed. Considering its been months already I'm guessing the thermaltake engineer is incapable of doing so and someone else should be hired or contracted from another company that understands the 3310 sensor a little better. Try contacting Zowie and see if they can help.
  9. When is this expected to be finished? Been waiting almost 2 months now
  10. Yea the mouse itself, finalmouse just released a mouse called the scream one which had this issue I think with all the buttons they said they needed to come out with a firmware update for "anti-ghosting" of the buttons, basically meaning if one button is pressed the others will not work, on the ventus r however its just the middle button if you hold it down the other buttons "mouse1" "mouse2" will not work. Which actually causes issues in some games. On a side note I received an email today from support saying a firmware release has been released that will fix the LOD issue, I sign on quick as possible to find out no update exists.. my firmware is current at 1.08, very disappointing. Also some bit about returning the mouse to get another one lol I am very clear in my email that this is a real issue with every ventus r. Besides tt David on this forum who seems to really try to help, thermaltakes support seems to be very lazy and they use misdirection to pacify their customers. It's very sad that a business would be so unwilling to fix an issue with a product they sell, Imagine starting a mouse company and spending months developing a mouse. Then selling it and getting horrible feedback and being the guy to say "lets just keep selling them like this who cares?" Now I know thermaltake isn't a mouse company and they have other avenues but the mentality is the same. I personally would do ANYTHING in my power to fix the problem same-day or as soon as humanly possible.. Maybe as a respect thing or just having basic morals and actual "care" for the product I'm producing. I'll give it a few more days then I'm returning the mouse, but not before making a review and as it sits the review will not help the sales of this mouse of any other mouse from thermaltake. On the flip side if the engineer is fixing the issue this could mean a very good review. We'll see.
  11. I can also confirm the middle mouse button bug causes ghosting between the other buttons, this issue should be fixed as well. Maybe you can kill two birds with one stone.
  12. That's good to hear, Thanks for contacting the right people about fixing it, can you keep us informed here if the engineer solves the problem so we know to get the firmware update going or any news on the issue would be appreciated.
  13. Sounds like your engineer is thinking you are talking about the LOD being too low or too high, which is not the case at all, the lift off distance is actually perfect, however the lag is a whole different matter and I doubt the setting of the sensor has anything to do with it, I'm 99.9% sure this is fixable through firmware as there is some bug causing a delay. Why make a product with a severe issue and not try your hardest to fix it? this has been reported on multiple forums and reviews, Maybe hire a new engineer? I don't know but fix the issue or quit making mice honestly. Ripping people off without putting on the box "this mouse has lag issues when lifting it off the pad" is just bad business especially when someone could fix the problem if effort was put into it.
  14. Yes this is a real issue that needs to be fixed, I've tried over 20 top gaming mice and I personally like the ventus R's shape the best. I will however be returning it very soon if this issue isn't being fixed, I was going to review this mouse on youtube and make sure you guys sold alot more but then noticing this LOD lag ruined it for me entirely. Can you get a fix for this within the next week? The issue is when initiating the sensor, or inbetween "un-initiating" and initiating it lags at this moment unlike anyother mouse. Easily detected if you hover the mouse around the minimum LOD and move it around. So on swipes and repositionings of the mouse it will lag and your shot will be off (cursor will jump) etc etc. If this issue didn't exist I'd declare this ventus r the best mouse on the market I'd personally try to get your sales up. But waiting years for a firmware fix I'll no longer have the mouse to be able to do so. Can you get this to your engineer and get us some feedback if it's going to be fixed? emailing support doesn't seem to get any answers.
