  1. [Full Disclosure: I've already sent an e-mail to Thermaltake Support but thought I'd get community consensus as well] TL/dr version: Swapping the power button unit to the right hand side causes the front faceplate to impinge on the USB 3.0's rubber seal (it would be the bottom two USB ports on the left but the top two on the right) at the circuit board causing the circuit board to 'flex' - this caused my upper usb ports not to work and I think it's causing the power to shut off randomly. I purchased the Core X9 Snow Edition because of it's size and modularity; I was building a customer water cooled PC (my first!) and I have big hands - the additional size made it easier to work and fit my hard lines. My computer sits on my left in my home office so I also wanted the viewing window on the right side. I ran into my first 'snag' upon unboxing the X9 Snow edition - the case is white (I liked that aesthetic) but all of the cabling and fans were black. Since it's impossible to find white fans (at least, I couldn't find any) with RGB (I decided on a 'blue' color for my liquid coolant; so I wanted my fans to glow blue) I bit the bullet and used black ones with blue RGB. I encased the black wires in white, expandable mesh - it looks kind of cheesy but it was what it was (yes, I know I could have individually sheathed the black wires but I didn't have the patience for it - on the plus side, I purchased white extension cables, sata cables and so on wherever I could). I ran into a different 'snag' when I swapped the left power button unit over to the right side - and I didn't realize it at first. I assembled the unit and everything worked fine - except the upper USB ports didn't work (this would have been the lower USB ports on the left side but you have to rotate it 90 degrees when moving it to the right). Also, pressing the reset button didn't work. I thought I'd mis-wired and checked that first - but everything was in place perfectly. I took the front faceplate off but I couldn't see anything wrong. I took the front faceplate off and was testing with it off and suddenly the reset button worked (though the upper USB still never worked). I thought I'd fixed it and replaced the faceplate - and the reset button stopped working. It turns out one (or more) of the plastic grid supports was pressing against the rubber sheathing at the point where the USB wires connect to the power button unit's circuit board. This is causing the circuit board to 'flex' which offsets the reset button and has probably turfed the USB ports. Closer investigation revealed it was actually angling the USB connectors in the white plastic. So - does anyone know if Thermaltake sells just the power button unit for the X9 Snow Edition? Also, is it going to void the case's warranty (which is a minor consideration, honestly - I think this is the last case I'll ever buy for my own personal use - I love it that much) if I use my Dremel to cut away some of the front faceplate's supporting gridwork?
