I recently purchased a Thermaltake Sync Controller TT Premium Edition as a replacement for the stock controllers that came with some three fan kits that I had purchased over the past twelve months. The old controllers died, well one did and after beating my head against a brick wall for a while trying to get them to work again, I just bought the newer controller and have been running the RGB through the 5v header on an Asus Strix ROG Z390-E motherboard. The fan speeds now running through Asus AI suite which is far, far, far from ideal. I now get the H_0x0001 Could not find fan controller error with the RGB Plus app. My question is if the TT RGB Plus app can work with the new controller via the 5v RGB header alone? I have given google a pretty solid nudge and can not find any answer.
