Thermaltake Core V51 mid-tower chassis, a new member of the Core Series, which now comes after the launch of Core V71 and Core V1, retaining the curved metal mesh look and delivering an outstanding cooling performance with the compatibility for the extensive DIY/AIO LCS, and the air cooling units that the series has become so very well known for. Core V51 is an enthusiast’s grade mid-tower that creates unprecedented space for high-end hardware and liquid cooling expansion, supporting the latest E-ATX, ATX, Micro ATX motherboards, and all high-end GPU cards.

  2. Hey guys

Im going to be buying a v71 one of these days and I wanted to know if anyones put in a fan on the side panel (as exhaust) since I currently have crossfire windforce gpus.

    Would a a71 side panel fit on a v71??

    thanks

The size of Chaser A71 and Core V71 is not the same, below are the measurement

    Chaser A71: SPCC 0.8mm (thick) * 481mm (width) * 557mm (length)

    Core V71: SPCC 0.8mm (T) * 497mm (W) * 574mm (L)

therefore A71's side panel won't fit onto V71.

Hi, Am interested in this also as i have sli Asus DirectCU 2 gtx 780s, its winter here and my top card is hitting 65-70c during a bf4 session and will only get hotter when summer arrives, was considering modding the side window with a 140mm fan?

currently modding it yourself is probably the only route, if we have any plan on the side panel in the future, you would be the first to know.

  3. since you will be drawing more fresh air from outside of the case,

try to install the spare 120mm fan on the side panel first, check if it will help you lower your temp inside of your case.

if you really insist on installing the fan in the 5.25" area, you could actually get a 5.25" to fan converter, you should be able to find them on the market.

What Thermaltake has is a 5.25" converter to 3.5" and fan combo called the iCage

    http://www.thermaltake.com/Storage/Discontinued_/_/C_00000235/iCage/design.htm

you could find it on Amazon for $20ish

    http://www.amazon.com/Thermaltake-iCage-A2309-Module-12cm/dp/B000B898N6

otherwise you could simply get a "5.25" to fan converter" or "5.25" to fan mount" which will do the trick for you,

  5. I've resolved the USB3 issue, it was my bad i accidentally plugged the cable backwards (do no how that worked :)

And until some different color scheme is available i think i'll try to mod mine ;) (i'll change the LEDs and paint the blue slots in red), i'll return with some photos.

make sure you let us enjoy your work when you are done with your mod  :)

  6. Hi guys,

I'm the new proud owner of a V71 case and i have some questions:

    1. I cant use the case's USB3 ports: if i plug in a USB3 device nothing happens (windows will not found any new device and the device wont start) and if I plug in any USB2 device windows will popup "USB Device not recognised" :(, someone else got this issue so far? (and i'll like to mention that the motherboard's USB3 are ok, everything works)

    2. Is there any chance that in the future they're will be available some red HDD slots sold as accessories ? Plus the 200mm fans come in red (or do i have to change the LEDs)?

    And some pictures ;)

Welcome to be the proud owner of Core V71!

    1. Try to update the USB 3 host controller driver

    2. We don't have any plan on different color scheme on the HDD trays or LED fans, but thanks for the suggestion,

if we do offer them, I will sure you will be one of the first to know.  ;)

here are some pics of my core v1!!! This is definitely a great case. For one, I love how easy it is work in this case.  There is so much room.  It is very clever the way the motherboard gets mounted (NO MORE JACK SCREWS!!!) and the screws that hold on the panels are perfect since they won't scratch the finish so also maybe include similar screw for the power supply as well.  Cable management is a breeze. The rubber bumpers for resting the power supply on are a great touch.  Things I would like to see in this case would definitely be some rubber on the bottom of the feet for anti-vibration purposes.  Think about including a switch for fan controlling for the 3 fans that this case can hold and maybe include an adapter for that connects to the USB 3 header to also make it compatible with USB 2.  So all in all this is an amazing case and I would definitely recommend this case to anyone that wants to build and small form factor pc!

I hope to do more with case.  I want to put 80mm LED fans in the rear and install some LEDs to illuminate the case.  Hope to also add a better cpu cooler as well since the ones supplied with AMD APUs are kind of loud.

    Thanks again!

    4yFVbvAl.jpg

Looking good! the team are really happy that you enjoyed the case!

  8. Received my Core V1 today. My initial reaction, this case is awesome. I didn't take off the panels or anything. Great build quality! Then I turned it over and was completely shocked by the plastic feet. Hoping for rubber on them, but can get around it. Other than that, I can't wait to get home and do my full review and put this awesome case together...thanks Tt!

Glad that you like it, please share your build and thought with us when you complete it! :)

  11.

I really want this chassis, but I wish you make it able to take graphics cards up to 300mm long.
Seriously, all the Radeon R9 cards (MSI R9 Gaming cards, ASUS R9 DirectCU cards, XFX R9 DD cards, etc...) are between the 260mm and 300mm lengths.
This chassis actually made me rethink my ATX motherboard purchase in favour of mITX!

Please update it to support slightly longer cards, up to 300mm then we can actually use it with all graphics cards. A Core V2 or something...?

My heart is bleeding here... (T-T)

    EDIT:

Now I see that the case is several mm too short for my Mega Shadow:(
Please, Tt, make a version that is 4cm larger in all directions to fit enthusiast components, while still preserving symmetry.
I would definitely buy it and recommend it without fail! In fact, I'm already waiting for it, I have the components lined up... ;)

please be patient with us, we have something in line coming to fit your need by end of this year.

  12. Thermaltake Mini Chassis - Core V1

The new Core V1 represented by Thermaltake is a small and cute ITX based chassis with a 200mm fan in the front panel. Smart interchangeable side panels allow users to flip it accordingly to showcase either for superior liquid cooling or superb airflow, which allows you to make your own personal setup. You not only grant to have a really powerful mini system, it also has the ability to house various overclocking components to keep it really cool!

As you can see from the picture above fans that have been installed are 120mm, the mounting points that circled in yellow are designed for 140mm fans (there are corresponding mounting points on the other side too which you can't see from this picture).

To install up to two 140mm fans, you will need to remove the bottom drive cage.

note: something to watch out for is the design and length of your PSU, because once you installed two 140mm at the bottom, you may face difficulty on routing the PSU cable, since the gap in between is not very big.
