  4. Hello, so somehow this novice of a modder has been chosen to be one of the five competitors in this years Thermaltake Modding Trophy! Words cannot describe how much this means to me nor could I tell you the challenge ahead this brings to me as newcomer on the modding scene, I sure feel like I have a lot to prove! My design of course got me in to the competition and that is what I call '20th Century TT' so let me tell you where the idea came from although it's pretty obvious to most. As soon as I heard the competition was Thermaltake's 20th anniversary the 20th Century Fox movie studios came right to me, I thought it was a good idea and what do you know, apparently it is and I can finally show you all the design that got me here. I'm proud to be in this position and to show you all what I can do! The Main Hardware 1 x Thermaltake Level 20 XT chassis 1 x Thermaltake M360 Plus water-cooling kit 1 x Thermaltake 850W Toughpower ‘SYNC’ Edition PSU 1 x Asus Socket AM4 Motherboard (model TBC) 1 x Asus Nvidia-based graphics card (model TBC) 1 x AMD Ryzen 7 2700X CPU 1 x Adata SX600 128GB M.2 SSD 1 x Adata M.2 RGB heatsink 1 x Adata Spectrix D41 3,000MHz 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR4 At the moment I'm still gathering a few items that I will need and soon discovered that some of the items I originally planned are no longer available so will have to search elsewhere, which isn't as easy as it sounds but not to worry. I'll update again once I have more on the way so this post may be quiet for a week or so, I just wanted to get my head in the door and say hello. First package for the build, we got this on the 28th of September for the opening ceremony at Scan HQ and what an awesome day that was all round! Second delivery was two packages, we got them last week and oh my where am I suppose to put all of this? And what a beautiful case it is! Sorry for stock photo I got excited and couldn't keep it in one piece long enough for a photo. Here's a little progress I've made over the past day, I've taken every piece of metal that isn't riveted away from the chassis and plan to paint it antique gold to help keep in with the theme, I've of course added some glitter to the two large front plastic columns, I couldn't help myself with that! I somewhat feel like it is a part of me now, I've used it on all my builds but none was as over the top as the first but that was for my daughter so was to be expected, anyhow I certainly feel it got my name out there, so less about me and more about the build in question. Not only did I paint all the metal removable but also the dust filters! Albeit a couple of them are on the bottom of the case and won't be seen but I didn't see no reason not to do them, it'll please me at the very least. I''ll have to re-do the motherboard tray as too much spraying has really buggered my wrist, from an old injury so that'll be on hold for the next few days at least, in the meantime I do plan on finding somewhere somewhat local that can supply me some acrylics, it's harder than you think to find antique gold vinyl! I'll also update with some more of the pictures from the work on the filters and such when I get around to finishing the motherboard tray so stay tuned and thanks for looking! Some more stuff came for the build and I managed to finish the motherboard tray this time around but I also had to do the redo the front columns due to an issue with the glitter I was using. Thermaltake M360 water cooling kit & Pacific W4 Plus CPU water block. Thermaltake Pacific PR22-D5 Pump & res combo. Some Thermaltake tubing, liquid, fittings and pipe bending kit, despite this will be my first time water cooling I think I have everything I need. Thermaltake ToughPower Grand RGB 850 Thermaltake Pacific Rad Plus LED Panel & Lumi Plus Oh the glorious Thermaltake Riing Plus fans! Oh what is this... It only the Thermaltake Pacific V-RTX Plus! Last and not least the motherboard tray fitted in the chassis, looking very gold at this moment indeed and there is more to come... I may need to think about how I go about this as it's very reflective. No update just yet but we do have some shots of the beautiful Thermaltake Pacific V-RTX Plus GPU block! Sadly I had to change the colour scheme slightly due to not being able to source any more antique gold acrylic, so now it's just gold! I've also done a little progress too, tomorrow I should get around to putting the block on the GPU! (Should be fun). Anyways hope you like what you see because there's even more incoming, for some it may be a little too much but right now I think it's going to look better than I expected! I got the GPU block on, no issues other than my heart rate was double of what it should of been during the process. Some of you may of noticed the little detailing I've done on the GPU backplate, I'm glad I didn't do more than that, I think it's a nice subtle touch, anything more would of been over the top... If it's not already. Forgot to add an image of the side panel that will be used for the left side of the case and starts to set off the theme I have for this build.

  6. I have had a Black X Duet since April 2018, so it's only 6 months old as I write this. It works for a short while, and then will just eject one or both drives. I tried different USB cables and HDD, but the problem persists. I am using an IMac with system OSX 10.11.6. I haven't changed OS versions or anything. How do I make a proper diagnosis? thank you Model number is ST0014UCAI000912
  7. Time to kick this project into max gear. Some major changes to the original rusting effects. So first i took the original flow indicators and knocked the ffect out of the ballpark! Absolutely in love now. Last night, i went into the shop, re-alligned 2 lasers and set to work on the midplate.side panels and some other acrylics :p We used 6MM clear acrylic for the midplate. After this was done, it was time to crack open the case, and etch that front panel And here's where i'm at as of this morning 11/10/2018 Let me know in the comments below what you think. - Craig
  8. Good afternoon everyone! I am proud to have been selected as one of the 5 competitors in the UK Trophy. Honestly humbled and look forward to watching my own and everyone else's builds evolve. What is ''SteamPunk 20'' This is one of my bonkers ideas that take over my brain at 11pm at night. I don't want to give away too much, but i will say this. Good old fashioned original steampunk, with electric motors and ofc some steam :p (Oil based don't panic) Copper pipes, lots of antique brass, leather and over 200 solid steel bolts! Let's not even start with the glass, acrylics and custom made metal badges and logos. I also may attend events wearing a top hat and with a scary looking steampunk cane. Don't worry i won't chew your head off, i'm friendly, honest :p I know it's early days, but getting this up is a weight off my shoulders for the coming days. Thanks for looking. Craig.
  9. So I had my liquid cooling system (h60) for about 5 years, and it failed. When I got it back in 2014, Water cooling was all the rage. In my search for a new CPU cooler, I noticed that everyone is using air cooling now. Which is better in 2018 folk? should I stick to liquid cooling or are there better Air cooling options that I don't know about? Rufus MapQuest UpToDate
  10. Hey everyone,Sorry for the lack of updates, Project:Snow is now completed, if you were at EGX 2018 @ NEC in September you would have seen Project:Snow on the Cyberpower booth. I have also been doing design work for the Thermaltake UK Modding Trophy 2018 sponsor by thermaltake, Asus, AMD, Adata, Bit-tech and Scan. This build log is live. I just want to say a massive thank you to Thermaltake for sponsoring the project, I think the build turn out great.Final Photos,
  11. Thanks for checking out my build log, I have been lucky enough to have been pick (1 of 5) to be apart of the Thermaltake UK Modding Trophy 2018, It’s been 2 years since the last one, I am very honored to have been chosen. I just want to say a massive thank you to all the sponsors, Thermaltake, Asus, AMD, Adata, Bit-tech and Scan for their support in this competition. The name of my project is #TT20. I have attached some drawing below that I submitted for the project, It will have a very clean look to the build. I always like to try new techniques or do something that I have not done in a build before and this build will be no different. I will be keeping the front and the top of the case stock. The back, side and the internal of the case will all be modded, Back and Side Front and side, The Hardware, 1 x Thermaltake Level 20 XT chassis 1 x Thermaltake M360 Plus water-cooling kit I 1 x Thermaltake 850W Toughpower ‘SYNC’ Edition PSU 1 x Asus ROG Strix X470 - F Gaming motherboard. 1 x Asus Dual RTX 2080 OC 8GB 1 x AMD Ryzen 7 2700X CPU 1 x Adata SX6000 256GB M.2 SSD 1 x Adata XPG Gaming D10 2,400MHz 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR4 2x Riing Plus 20 fans RGB 6x Riing Plus 12 Fans RGB TT Premium PCI-E 3.0 Extender I Thermaltake also gave us, Thermaltake Dasher Gaming Mouse mat, Thermaltake X1 RGB, think I am going to mod this. 12. Good afternoon! Thank you for deleting accounts. Today I re-created my account - eddd2002@gmail.com But the data is not uploaded to the site. I noticed one oddity - in the My uploads tab - in the Activity section - the schedule date is displayed on the next day (2018.10.04), although the date is still on my computer (2018.10.03). Maybe this is the reason not to upload data to the site? Attached a screen screen with this problem.
  13. Greetings to all, On July 8, 2018 I bought a Thermaltake Core V71 Tower in Spain and I arrived in Colombia at the end of August, so a couple of weeks ago I was able to start with the installation and assembly of my computer parts, All the parts of the computer are Thermaltake brand (source, heatsinks, liquid cooling, etc ...) once the assembly was made in the Tower Thermaltake Core V71, there was a problem when performing the ignition and is that the three (3) Fan (heatsinks) of 200mm that brings this Tower located in the Front and top part DOES NOT ROTATE, just turn on the LEDs. In detail I checked all the connections, I made sure everything was connected correctly, later I focused specifically on the MOLEX connector which is connected to a PSU Thermaltake Toughpower RGB 850 W Gold; connecting and disconnecting repeatedly, but the fans did not turn and the result was always the same. Obviously if the Fan (dissipaters) do not rotate the functionality of the FAN LOW and FAN HIGH switches is null, but the Leds of these switches if they turn on when pressing them, I would say that their function is fine, but if the Fan does not rotate, there is no case. I have the three original 200 mm fans connected to the FAN CONTROLLER and the only thing I can think of is that it is defective ... Is there anything I could do wrong? Is it possible to CHANGE THE FAN CONTROLLER due to factory defects? Can it be repaired? Where can you change it in Colombia? Could Thermaltake send it to Colombia where I am currently residing? I think all the connections related to the fan controller are correctly. Does anyone have any ideas or recommendations? Everything else works very well, but I would like the fans to work properly and help maintain a good temperature inside my tower. I appreciate the advice and / or recommendations of everyone.

  15. Video of the final version of this casemod I did for the 2018 Thermaltake Casemod Invitational season 1. The theme is the Decepticon race from the Tramsformers world. This is a Decepticon that battled for decades on Cybertron and travelled for years to get to earth to ask for help as the war on Cybertron is not going well for the Decepticons. In times of war the outside of the machine is scarred and no time has been spent on making it a shiny machine with glossy paint. The panels are tough and can be replaced easily after having taken damage. The hardware in the other hand is powerfull and well maintained to be ready for any battle ahead.

  19. Hi, This is probably not something new, but I noticed that the TT RGB Plus app window size is very large. I remembered the first time I ran the app (around January 2018) it didn't go outside the screen size. I rarely change my fans settings therefore I haven't paid attention to it before, but today when I opened the app, it was huge and I am unable to resize the window, it just stuck at that large size. Also it does not respond to windows 10 automatic resize when you bumped the app to the edge of the screen to make it fit the screen size. So I had to drag it around to do some settings. Not that it's a big deal or that it effects the setting itself, just thought it would be nice if I can fit the window on my screen so that I can see everything at once. PS: I attached the screenshot of my desktop to show the size of the TT RGB Plus app window size. I spared some tiny spaces on the top and left size of the screen, even then the app window size still goes beyond the right and the bottom border of the screen.
  20. The build is all most completed, I have had a little delay due to me moving house and all my gear is in storage, should have been in the new house on 27/07/20108 but now it will be 10/08/2018. so the last time I posted we can everything white and in place to where I wanted everything, I was not to please with the color of the cables so I redid them. I wanted the green to match the rest of the build so painted the cables green with the airbrush. I think they turned out great. I cut some 3mm perplex to make a cable cover for behind the motherboard, this is not going to be on show but thought it will be a nice touch. The build is almost completed, need to run the hard tube and do a small PSU cover then the build we be completed. Here is a little sneak peak. Thanks for taking the time to check out the build log.
  21. Hi, I have 8 Riing Plus 12 LED RGB Radiator Fan TT Premium Edition - https://www.thermaltake.com.au/Cooler/Case_Fan_/Riing/C_00003056/Riing_Plus_12_RGB_Radiator_Fan_TT_Premium_Edition_5_Fan_Pack_/design.htm - Link for my fan so there can be no confusion. With the new update to the TT RGB PLUS Software V 1.2.0 released on 2018/07/16 I seem be having an issue that is quite irritating. Before anyone says this isn't the correct software which I've been told, this is the software listed on the support page for my product. Firstly now with the new software if it isn't running as a background task the lights on the fan don't work. I never used to have the program open displaying in the taskbar to have the lights working but now if it isn't a background task the lights don't work anymore. I'm guessing this is just a new implementation by Thermaltake which I can live with but is annoying since I didn't need it as a background task before. Secondly now when my PC goes to sleep the lights on my fans stop working. When i wake up my PC the lights continue to stop working and I have to manually close the software from the task tray and reopen it manually for the lights to kick in again. Does this happen to anyone else with the new software? I have tried reinstalling it with no luck and I have no access to previous versions to test them out. I emailed Thermaltake to ask them for access to previous versions and they said they couldn't provide me access to it. If anyone could provide any word on this issue on how to fix or if they are getting it also would be appreciated. Thanks
  22. I saw and heard these mentioned in Computex 2018 videos of Thermaltake's setup. What's the estimated release time of these? Is there an estimated price point?
  23. It's 2018 how is software still so woefully bad? Not even any basic effects layering.
  24. Avast Secureline VPN license File 2017-2018 With Crack is a small program which is used to enable your connection to the web through secure virtual private network servers.
