Its a mini ITX chasis.. it only has 2 x 3.5" and 2 x 2.5" bays.......... 

so no 5.25" bay

No bay, but that does't mean you can't use a 5.25" drive anyway

Nope. The V1 Core doesn't have a 5.25 Bay. It only has bays for 2 Each of 3.5" and 2.5" Drives.

But you can always use an external Optical Bay via USB or find someway to use normal SATA Power and power the drive externally, should you somehow need the capability to read disks.

There is no 5.25 bay only has two side-mounted 3.5 or 2.5 bays although with adapter you can fit four 2.5 drives

Core V1  had no 5.25 bay..because of its compact size its more optimized for 3.5 and 2.5 drive bays

The 5.25 bay for the Core V1 is located in another dimension, where the designer actually implemented it, after having traversed all of time and space, in an epic conquest to find his homeworld of Ekatlamreht.
