  1. Probably could now using raspberry Pi and some hellishly overpriced parts for screens etc. I think that is one area where manufacturers like Samsung, Dell, and Microsoft will keep a stranglehold on, that's a moneymaker for them so they'll keep things very proprietary. Plus there isn't too much excitement in building a tablet / phone type device. Not too much you can do with fans, lights, customizations, you imagine a liquid cooled tablet running off a battery? LOL
  2. Paint the video card.
  3. Red and white is my current. Next build I want to paint a case yellow, and put a red energy dome on top that says "Are We Not Men?" Incorporate a yellow and black MB with yellow liquid coolent. Will be my DEVO project. Either that or my desk idea, hey, maybe I can put a series of energy domes inside the desk.....hmmmmm, now there is a cool idea.
  4. After building, the only PC I will buy at retail is going to be the Microsoft Surface (something I can't build myself). IMO, once you know how to build, or are an enthusiast, there are no benefits in retail tower PC's.
  5. https://store.thermaltakeusa.com/inside03.php?k=7&a=812 CHAO messenger bag, mine arrives today, video review up soon afterward. $75.00 on Amazon / $44.99 on TtBuy.

    Core V21

If this came in white, I could mount this on top of my GT Level 10 and keep all the liquid cooling reservoirs and pumps in there. Could design a cool "Waterfall" type design or expand my "Ghost in the Shell" idea. Really thinking on doing that later next year, would need to cut out the top of the Level 10 and the bottom of the V21, but, sure as #### would be interesting....
  7. I keep debating whether or not to do this to my MEKA G UNIT. I usually keep the lights off in my home office, and really love the illumination of the keyboard letters, and would hate to lose that, but #### it just looks so sexy.....
  8. If I had that, I would just spend my time loading it up with stuff, just because I could. Probably wouldn't get anything else done!
  9. I have 2, 1TB HDD's in RAID 0 with a 128GB boot drive. User profiles and programs on the RAID. Gopint to back it up with a 2 TB NAS. (Might go to 4 TB RIAD and NAS, haven't decided yet). For what you want to use it for 2 TB minimum for piece of mind, and get a backup.
  10. Over clocking your screen means pushing the refresh rate (hertz) past it's stock value. If your screen has a stock rate of 60 hertz, pushing it to 75 would be overclocking it. It can usually only be done in the control panel of your video card, if your GPU has the option. My one I can't get past its stock of 60, my other I can push to 75, but I leave it at 60, I'll get higher hertz screens later on.
  11. PSU's should be face down when at the bottom of the tower, face up when at the top, fan should always draw air in from the outside.
  12. My build ia fairly new, so I'm more concerned with cooling fans, and those connections for the hot swappable drives in the GT Level 10 case, I've heard they have a tendancy to go first. But I think I'll be ok for at least a few years.
  13. Me too, right inside the rig looking out the window.
  14. Oh no, those things have to be organized. All behind the motherboard, just, don't look behind my motherboard.
  15. Hey all, Made a purchase on the Tt Buy store last night, suggestion; The automated email you get after placing your order, has a place for your order information, i.e. what you ordered and your order number, but they aren't filled in, they are left blank. You basically get an email stating you ordered something, the date you ordered it, and how you paid for it. All this info can be accessed via logging into the TtBuy store, but, having it included in an order confirmation email would be good too. I know the TtBuy store is still relatively young in the United States.
  16. Not really, if you have a PC that is pulling, say 300 watts at full load, your platinum 600w PSU will pull say 320 watts from your wall, where at your bronze 750w will most likely pull 360, doesn't really matter what your max wattage is when it comes to pulling what it needs in terms of power. Plus, the extra wattage the bronze is pulling equals extra heat being generated in your PC, heat that is being generated by waste and can be avoided. There is also a quality difference, the bronze will most likely cost less, but at what expense? Cheaper capacitors, lower life expectancy, modular cabling, warranty, etc. You also have to think how good the ripple suppression is, voltage regulation, and heat generation.
  17. 240, but when I go full loop water cool, I may cut the top of the Level 10 GT and go 360.
  18. Still hacking away at Diablo 3. Probably work on installing some Skyrim mods (my wife keeps bugging me about that). Also going to play that game this weekend where you make big piles of leaves with an air blower.
  19. Did you guys actually go out into the warehouse and take those pictures just for me? If you did, that was a really cool thing to do. Thanks! Just placed my order for one, really couldn't beat the price.
  20. EVGA Supernova 1300. JohnnyGURU tested it and his tests state the thing could just about pass for Platinum. Just about the only part in my PC that isn't Tt (the one I wanted from you guys hasn't been released yet, I think you're still tweaking it). Your PSU is your heart, so your efficiency is VERY important. PSU's are one of those things that you get what you pay for, never skimp out on a PSU, I learned the hard way, had one with coil whine, and eventually fried my old PC. McBludgin - 80 Plus (trademarked 80 PLUS) is a voluntary certification program intended to promote efficient energy use in computer power supply units (PSUs). Launched in 2004 by Ecos Consulting, it certifies products that have more than 80% energy efficiency at 20%, 50% and 100% of rated load, and a power factor of 0.9 or greater at 100% load. That is, such PSUs will waste 20% or less electric energy as heat at the specified load levels, thus reducing electricity use and bills compared to less efficient PSUs. (From Wikipedia)
  21. Awesome!! Thank you!!
  22. Anyone have any internal shots of the current messenger bag you offer? I'm looking to switch from a backpack to a messenger bag, and need something that will carry your common tech items (tablet, phone / phablet, earbuds, cloth / cleaner, usb keys, lanyard, etc), so I need some padding and dedicated spaces in the internals. Dimensions too if you have them please. Thermaltake store doesn't show the internals.
  23. Dual SLI!! Probably this summer, but, it'll be worth the wait.
