  1. The corners of the case are taped, I will later cut along these edges.
  2. Hello and welcome to the worklog of my new project "TheGoldenTen" I was fortunate enough to be chosen to represent Germany in the second season of the "2015 Thermaltake CaseMOD Invitational". 2015 Thermaltake CaseMOD Invitational Season 2 - Tt Community The competition is really strong but I will carry the torch for Germany as good as I can I will not disclose too much about my idea for the project "TheGoldenTen" at this point (my competitors can read this as well) but I will update this thread regularly with photos and some explanations. This is what I can say right now: I will mod two stacked Thermaltake CoreX9. I will use a large custom water loop and triple SLI graphics cards. As usual, a huge THANK YOU to the sponsors who support this project: Mayhems - Gosumodz - Asus ROG Deutschland - Thermaltake - NewEGG (premium sponsor) - Avexir - Modworkx (Bilder von Hardware usw. werden regelmäßig hinzugefügt) Zwei mal das Core X9 in Schwarz und das Toughpower Grand Platinum 1200Watt von Thermaltake Avexir Blitz Series 1.1 8 x 4 GB DDR4 PC 2400 Eine 3 Way SLI Brücke von Asus ROG
  3. Here the final Pic from my Home and GamesCom 2015 Köln Germany @GamesCom
  4. Thanks BRO.... yeah, i love too the PETG from TT Realy nice Quality...
  5. Cpu cooler Thermaltake Pacific W2 and Avexir Blitz 1.1 red with white LEDs are now installed on the mainboard and the ASUS Poseidon GTX 980 was taken for a test run. System is running, Windows 7 is installed. Now I am just waiting for the remaining cooling parts from Thermaltake and this bad boy can be finished.
  6. These are the last photos before it's finished. The final pictures will be released from Gamescom, Cologne. See you there?
  7. This is how the case looks with the finished plexiglass panels The mainboard tray is painted black so that it matches the launching ramp. The illumination for the space shuttle is done too, the 3mm LEDs lighten up the shuttle from black painted straws
  8. Slowly but surely everything is taking shape! The tubing in the basement is done, radiators, pump and reservoir are connected and the first leak test run was successful. First test for the illumination of the space shuttle with 3mm LEDs in straws
  10. Just some additional updates in between. This is what it will look like when the side panel is installed and the fans spin. The PLEXIGLAS is called GS (allround), panel, grey 7C83 GT
  11. The SSD gets a neat little home made out of plexiglass and the top panel got painted around the edge from the inside.
  12. Today is not my day... First, I get the measurements for the side panel wrong by 100mm and then two corners break, one from the front panel on the bottom left and one from the mainboard tray. I still managed to accomplish a few things. The cover for the PSU is done and the holder for the reservoir with Thermaltake logo are finished. This is how the case soon will look like from the outside.
  13. Marked the holes and drilled them out with a 3mm drill. Then I cut a 4mm thread in every hole. The middle hole has a diameter of 6mm to fit the 5mm LED later. The acrylic block will partly be painted at a later stage.
  14. I managed to accomplish a few things again. The new front panel is made of 3mm thick plexiglass, the 130mm holes have been cut with a Dremel. The plexiglass was painted with a matt black. The middle plate is a 2mm thick aluminium plate (the reservoir would have been too heavy for plexiglass, it would have bent). With a countersink I cut six holes for the bulkhead coupling. You can find 10 holes on the sides of the plate (take a guess what the straw is for?). The middle has two holes for in- and output of the reservoir. Again, the plate has been painted with a matt black.
  15. When the spaceshuttle and reservoir/carrier rocket are mounted into the case, it will look something like this. The shuttle will be illuminated with white 3mm LEDs from four sides.
  16. Since memories are awake , the last model I have assembled 15 years ago maybe
