SWAFAN EX Controller Not Recognized

Hello,

Much like many of you, I'm having issues with my TT controllers.

Quick Backstory: Had Riing fans and Floe 360 hooked up to a daisy chained 2 controller system previously. Had issues with controller not being detected, ultimately got lucky and it started working. Rebuilt computer and could not for the life of me get it to recognize controller, either daisy-chained controllers with TT software, ore Sync controller with Mystic Light.

Ultimately decided to try Swafan EX because of the new controller, ordered a set and controller is still not detected. Worked with TT support, they sent me a new controller........ still not detected. Fans are spinning, and I've tested using a USB header on my motherboard and a USB port on my machine, controller still won't be recognized by software. Pretty frustrated TBH, I have hundreds of dollars into TT products and I like them when they work but this is just very annoying.

Any advice?

Have the same problem. TT RGB PLUS 2.1.2 и 2.1.3 not detecting SWAFAN EX controller. FANS works at 100% and soft normally detected toughliquid ultra pump with LCD. Problem only with SWFAN EX controller. Looks like software problem.  Internal or External USB connection not helped. Cables 100% good.

OS: Microsoft Windows 11 22H2 with all updates 23/07/2023, another soft: GCC, ViperRGB_v3.

Dear User

Could you check in the system settings if the controller is correctly connected to the system?

Windows Settings >> Device >> Other Device >> "LEDFanBox"

Please don't open any RGB control software other than TT RGB PLUS, as this may lead to the inability to use the controller and configure RGB lighting.

Does not show up. I have tested both USB headers on my motherboard and it is not recognized on either. I have something else plugged into the other header and it works perfectly, so  I know the issue isn't the header.

Ultimately you guys have shipped me several controllers that were tested before shipping. You guys think it's something on my machine, which is fine and makes sense, but everything else on my computer works perfectly. The helpful rep I've been working with in customer service has done everything he can to help. I sent you guys logs that were escalated to engineering months back but have received no follow up support from them. Would love to get this stuff working because I love your products when they actually work.

Any update on this issue?  Also bought a set of Swafan EX fans and tried with two different controllers and neither worked, and the usb port is working correctly because I have the LCD pump display and the Tower 200 LCD panel working perfectly.

Any work around? other than changing the fans for another brand.

Using ASUS ROG B650E-I Wifi

Thanks

Just updating…

So I’ve been checking in with TT support here and there for updates on the logs I sent them. The support agents never heard back from HQ. I called back again last week and the rep opened a new case for me and had me provide the logs again.

I decided to try the 9 Port Sync controller again, as I hadn’t since I bought the SWAfans. Ultimately the first SWAfan is working exactly as expected, lighting up and syncing with my ARGB system on my machine. However the other two daisy chained fans are spinning but have no RGB. Also, my AIO is dim, and not fully lit. I have tried various troubleshooting steps I’ve found online for my AIO, such as plugging it into the first port on one of the sides of the controller to no luck. I have also tested the SWAfans by unplugging all the other fans from the controller and still only the first one is lit.

Needless to say this is the closest I’ve gotten since my rebuild. I would love to finally resolve this, and even upgrade my case to another one from TT. So if anyone has any more ideas or advice I’m open. Pictures attached.

Further update, I was able to get my SWAfans all working properly by essentially skipping the controller altogether and going straight into the ARGB on my motherboard. So now I’m good there and the only lingering problem is the AIO being dimly lit as pictured above. Unfortunately it does not support ARGB so I have to run it through the sync controller. If anyone has insight it would be greatly appreciated.
