dwsmithjr
I just purchased a Ceres 500 case and am considering mounting my GPU vertically. The manual indicates you can use with a 90 degree or 180 degree orientation. Expanding the picture I can see the different orientations. 1. What length would I use? 200mm or 300mm? It seems shorter would be better for data transmission. But for this case is 200mm long enough? 2. Useing 90 degree orientation seems to give the GPU more support for a larger GPU (RTX 3090) although most of the weight will be born by the slot brackets. So, which cable would I use, 200mm 90, 300mm 180 or 300mm 90?
Tt Thompson
Hi, dwsmithjr 1. 200mm should be more than enough! 2. the supports from the 90 and 180-degree connectors are more or less the same. Since the length is critical, I suggest the 200mm 90-degree riser cable.
