  1. Just to give resolution to this thread. I ended up having to RMA my controller, the new one works.
  2. This is not only a problem with ThermalTake, I have seen this lack of support for all RGB products, and software control. I have invested $$$$ on RGB products as I think its cool and unique. but getting just to work seems like a challenge for these people that create both hardware and software products. I have used Corsair, Asus Aura, Razer Chroma, TT RGB (manual controller) and the TT Riing Plus, and almost every time, I see a ton of support issues, with a lake of support or response from said companies. I do not even put my PC's to sleep I let them run, but just turn off the monitors, this breaks the Riing RGB software as well, and when I go to restart it, it will save all fan info, and color info, but will not save my chroma sync setting in the software. and I have to have my kids account set to admin for the whole thing to run right. At this point, I just might give up RGB lighting all together.
  3. So running this software today, the Riing software is running, but as soon as the monitor goes to sleep the software will crash and close. I have to start it up again. Following error in the event log Faulting application name: TT RGB Plus.exe, version: 0.0.0.0, time stamp: 0x5c46aab9 Faulting module name: VCRUNTIME140.dll, version: 14.13.26020.0, time stamp: 0x5a39fdb6 Exception code: 0xc0000005 Fault offset: 0x0000e42e Faulting process id: 0x31ec Faulting application start time: 0x01d4c3ca5850b31c Faulting application path: C:\Program Files (x86)\Tt\TT RGB Plus\TT RGB Plus.exe Faulting module path: C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\VCRUNTIME140.dll Report Id: 778e49db-d6a6-4275-9133-62777d565f3f Faulting package full name: Faulting package-relative application ID: Thank you
  4. Looking for a way to use both all my older Lumi color strips (just 4 pin RGB) with my new Riing Plus fans and addressable strips. Any way to connect so I can at least control the color of the RGB strips using the Riing Plus software? Thanks
  5. So running into the same issue. But in my case, this software want to run as an admin with elevation. I do not use the admin account unless I have too, I run a user account most of the time. So I can run the software, get prompted for admin creds, it starts, reset all my settings and let it run. every time I reboot or log off I have rinse and repeat. To make things worse, now that they have added sync with Razer Chroma, and I love the effects, but the software keeps reverting back to default, once I click the connect to Chroma, everything works again. Cant they just make software that does not require elevation? I am finding that in the whole world of computer support, its non existent. hardware, software, and its with all brands. seems they come out with something cool, and then do not support it.
  6. Just purchased a new Riing 20 with controller. plugged it all in, direct to PSU and plugged into open USB 2.0 header on motherboard. when the system is powered on, the fan spins but no light. downloaded and installed the software (pain to find) when the software start, all it says no device detected. I have tried another usb header and molex power no dice, plugged it all into another computer I had laying around no luck as well. I just purchased this, unfortunatly it was the last one on the shelf, so not sure when they will get more in stock. What could be wrong. what should the controller show up as in device manager? as I am not getting anything. Asus Maxiumus VIII Intel core i7 16 GB Ram 256 GB SSD Windows 10 build 1803 700 W Power Supply Thank you
