Anupam reacted to fr3sh in TT RGB PLUS 1.4.0 (1.3.9&1.3.7) with Ring Quad 12 (ONLY SOMETIMES WORKS PROPERLY) WIDEO
So I'm little be disapointed on this product. Every one has the same issue with it and they are not respond. Even on the forum no solution for the customers.
Here is how to looks like in my case sometimes. The Ring Quads are not found in the system
MY SETUP:
MATHERBOARD: TRX40 AORUS XTREME (rev. 1.0)
PROCESSOR: Ryzen Threadripper 3970X
Ram G-Skill Trodent- X 128Gb
POWER SUPLY: Corsair i1600W
Thermal Take Ring Quad 12
DYSKS: SSD MP6000
RESULT:
WIDEO
see also the attachment files.
The wideo can help you only workaround to the issue.
No matter how you're controllers will set up. No matter how your controller be plug in and where. I have tryied so many different scenarios.
Sometimes they are working and sometimes they dont with no reason at all. And default ring color on boot when you set up profile
is making this product not on 21th century. I wish I knew these before buying
My .50 cent on this crap product.
Sadly it's a waste of money. If they be honest then they should refund this product for customers asap and
say something that they screw this up.
TT release the software to public. Internet will fix you the software issues if you cant do it properly in tree releases.

Anupam reacted to Rauske in TT RGB Plus not saving settings!
Dear user
nah just kidding this is not auto-generated
Hyins i have been using TT RGB Plus version 1.1.6 wich allows me to save to my controller of my "Riing Plus 14" (5fans 1 controller)
i came accros this issue that my PC was always booting in Rainbow barf, a work around i currently am using is saving a profile to the fan-controller with 1.1.6 and later installing a newer version to get the updated/newer animations.
now when the PC boots it has a themed "Boot-up" animation(saved to the controller and fans 20-30%) until windows is booted and the software takes over the controller again, closing the software in windows does set it back to the default state that you saved with 1.1.6 so the software needs to run unless you saved a profile with 1.1.6 then you can just close the software in windows as it's on the controller.
i know it's not the news most people wanted to hear but it's a nice work-around.
i am suspecting that something changed on development side and either they forgot about "save-to-device" or choose to ditch that since the newer animations/profile data would exceed a hardware limitation of saving capacity of the controllers and whent for maximum compatibility for all products.
(this happens allot with older or first implemantations of hardware that you need the old software to properly control it)
in hindsight i have Corsair gear as well and if i knew this would be a thing then i would have payed the Premium price of corsairs commander and fans just becoase the software is solid for beginners or experts, it's also fun to play around with custom profiles your friends made.
i hope this work-around helps you or others that are reading this so people can still get the most out of their product.
Best regards (an experianced tinkerer).

Anupam reacted to mermelmadness in Best Version of TT RGB Plus?
Which is the most complete version of TT RGB Plus? I know 1.4.0 is the newest but if I set my fans to Weather the RPM shoots up to 100% and I can't get it down unless I quit the program. Currently running 1.3.3 but Weather doesn't work.
Any thoughts? Links would be helpful.

Anupam reacted to CNC inspiration in TT
I gave up and just put it all together with default fan lighting,. Now randomly it sees 4 controllers (19 devices) one out of 5 boot sequences. If you try to edit the fan profiles, it starts randomly changing other fan profiles at the same time. You can edit some of the fans and turn off off the software without saving and it will work until next boot.

I’ve reverted back to v1.3.8, and that is working well for me so far. I can’t believe how v1.3.9 ever got past QA.

Anupam reacted to gdub7Gdub in Any chance of getting a reverse flow riing quad?
As I understand it, the only way to have the RGB lights showing inside the case it to set up the fans as exhaust fans. Adding intake fans (like on the bottom of the case) requires the beautiful RGB to be facing outward. This defeats the purpose of getting riing quads for all of the case fans. Any plans for a reverse flow edition? I see lots of people asking about this.
I will be watercooling the CPU and GPU in my View 71. I am looking to create a slight positive pressure in the case to combat dust, but I feel like this will be difficult with the amount of exhaust fans compared to the 3 intakes even if they do not have resistance behind them. In the end I am looking to have a functional and good looking setup and I'd rather not go with a different type of fan, but putting 2 riing quad 12s at the bottom isn't going to look right if they face outward and I definitely do not need 2 more exhaust fans.
