compguygo
I bought a toughpower grand rgb 750w gold full modular power supply and then I found out that my gigabyte z390 motherboard needs 0ne 8 plug and one 4 plug eps. So I see that the 850 has the two plugs but my power use is way below the 750 so it is fine. Is there a way to get another cord that plugs into the pci-e slot and has a 4+4 to atx eps on motherboard it looks to me the 4+4 cpu and pci-e are the same. TT0987
Hi Compguygo Thanks for reaching out here, but "Do not attempt what you are about to do!" Due to the design layout and pin assignment, if you plugged pci-e cable to the CPU 4+4 slot, you can fry your motherboard. I suggest to get a new power supply that comes with 2 sets of 4+4 CPU cables.
