Hi there, I got the same problem since I have the riing quads. I had the same problems with my old Gigabyte motherboard. That was the Z390. Now I have the ASUS Z790 Hero. Same crap.

Then sporadically when restarting one controller is not recognized or the other controller is not recognized. If I then uninstall the USB device in the device manager and restart it, it usually works. But not now. I tried different variants on the mainboard. Always the same failures. I even tested a USB 3  to USB 2 adapter. Always the same problem. The controllers fail at least once every 5 times. What can we do?

After I restarted just 5 times and uninstalled the USB drivers several times, it still didn't work. Now I have swapped the two USB ports on the mainboard. Now it's working again. The only question is for how long.

Everything is connected properly! Always these general answers as if you were too stupid to connect cables. Maybe you should switch from the outdated 4-pin Mol connectors to SATA connectors?! The lighting keeps failing. I then have to uninstall both USB ports in the device manager and start new ones. Sometimes even 4-5 times in a row. If it's really bad, I swap the USP connectors on the mainboard. Why is the lighting so unstable? I have the ASUS Maximum Hero 790. I previously had the AORUS Master 390. Exactly the same problem.
