TT RGB Plus V2 Error: "Can not detect controller, please check that the fan controller is connected."

Hi there, I got the same problem since I have the riing quads. I had the same problems with my old Gigabyte motherboard. That was the Z390. Now I have the ASUS Z790 Hero. Same crap.

Then sporadically when restarting one controller is not recognized or the other controller is not recognized. If I then uninstall the USB device in the device manager and restart it, it usually works. But not now. I tried different variants on the mainboard. Always the same failures. I even tested a USB 3  to USB 2 adapter. Always the same problem. The controllers fail at least once every 5 times. What can we do?

After I restarted just 5 times and uninstalled the USB drivers several times, it still didn't work. Now I have swapped the two USB ports on the mainboard. Now it's working again. The only question is for how long.

Everything is connected properly! Always these general answers as if you were too stupid to connect cables. Maybe you should switch from the outdated 4-pin Mol connectors to SATA connectors?! The lighting keeps failing. I then have to uninstall both USB ports in the device manager and start new ones. Sometimes even 4-5 times in a row. If it's really bad, I swap the USP connectors on the mainboard. Why is the lighting so unstable? I have the ASUS Maximum Hero 790. I previously had the AORUS Master 390. Exactly the same problem.

I had the same problem. I have an Asrock x680E AMD motherboard. Slowly I got more and more of these until it finally quit all together. I found an old USB to micro-USB cable and plugged into the back of the motherboard ( instead of using the top of the motherboard USB connector and the TT supplied cable ) and poof it started working just fine. I had also had issues with the Windows 11 screen saver turning off after a few minutes. After I removed the TT supplied cable that issue is now gone.

I don't know what's a fault, the motherboard, the TT cable or the device burned up my motherboard USB port.

It's only been one day so we shall if it lasts plugged into the back of the motherboard.

Hi, I just purchased a pre-built Reactor i470TS. I downloaded the 2.1.9 version of RGB Plus software and I am getting a cannot detect controller message. The lcd display is not appearing as detected hardware. Am I using the correct software?

Thanks

On Edit, it may be helpful to know I have an Asrock MB and "Polychrome" software is installed. The Polychrome software pops multple drivers can not run or be installed when it starts. Both programs seem to run in the background so I have to go to the system tray to exit.
