Thank all for the amazing feedback. Will try to do my best for this mod
I am kind of a night person so I dont need that much sleep *lol*

As a next step, I started to work on the little highlight for the mid section.
What makes a Dalek a real Dalek. Sure a Dalek
I modeled a rought shape from newspaper and fixed it with masking tape.

Then I tried out the positioning on the inside.

A selfmade eye was also included.

To get everything into shape, I used a very simple and cheap technique. Paper maché.
I applied multiple layers to hide the structure of the newspaper. When it dried the entire
model will be very strong but also light weight.

In the mean time, I started the next section.
First, I cut a round piece of wood and made a template for the structure, that should hold the round wooden beams on the outside
and the acrylic glass pieces on the inside.

Because I did not have wood in the right thickness on hand, I glued two pieces together.

Than it was attached to the round plate. In addition, I cut out the top of the construction and installed
the roound wood beams on the outside. Smaller gaps were filled with wood filler.

I 3d printed small details, that I glued into place.

For a more industrial kind of look, I used some screws.

Next up will be the light system for this part and than I will make the basic structure of the "head"

Next up, I designed the details for the doors.

The outer rings were 3D printed to make sure I get the needed shape.

For the bulb in the middle, I simply bought decoration spheres.
    Both part fit perfect together.

I sanded all the spheres down and filled them with expanding foam to make them more rigid.

Then everything was primed with plastic primer.

In the meantime all the rings were printed, they also got a first layer of primer.

i also made a banner where i will write the PIRACY AND PROPHECY logo later on. i carved it into a 3d form for later staining.

i also finished the cd setting in and drawer cover

worked some  ore planking look into the sides

Hello my good friends! today we start showing our build and our vision of building a Star Wars TIE Fighter Advanced. I will be using all major features of the core p5 case within this build however each feature may not function as it is intended for . Lets get into our first progress.

Its funny but the idea of building a TIE Fighter didn't hit me until my wonderful fiancé wanted to go buy some plants. Hanging there right in front of us was this cool looking plant pot

But what got me was when you remove the material you are left with a quarter of a ball, and it is steel (easy to weld off and a strong base frame for what we need).

So of course instead of her getting plant pots i ended up getting some instead. however I did offer here the material inside.

I needed the inside of the ball to be hollow obviously so i can fit components inside so it was time for some dremel work to remove a few steel rods

then I had to clean up the cuts with a file

and then lastly smoothen it all out with the grinding stone

so we are left with 4 quarters looking like this

I hope you are enjoying progress so far, more updates shortly.

The power supply will be located on the back of the inner chamber, in between the two reservoirs.  But in order to mount it there, I'll need to fabricate a bracket for it to sit on.  So more galvanized steel was cut..

..and bent into a shelf-like form..

    ..Here's a couple shelfies..

The mounting holes were transferred to the bottom panel from the psu itself.

Using special diamond-carbide cutting wheels, I was able to remove the center of the panel for adequate PSU ventilation.

And the PSU mounted to the shelf.

Using a box, I propped up the PSU and shelf to the desired height so I could mark the holes on the inner chamber.  It will be held in place by some pop rivets once everything is prepped and painted and ready for final assembly.

Got all the shock absorbers mounted over the weekend!
Working on the top shocks first, I got the corner shock brackets mounted into the corners using the existing pop rivet holes.

For the top shock mounts, I had to cut the ends off of the radiator support bracket to make room in the corners.

    The back two shocks mounted..

    ..and the front two..

All four top shocks mounted to the corners.

After measuring and centering the inner chamber at the correct height, I drilled holes on all four corners to mount the other shock brackets.

Flipping the entire case over, I started working on the bottom shocks.

I removed the inner chamber temporarily so I could have room to work, and proceeded to mount the remaining four shocks in the bottom corners.

While the chamber was out, I drilled holes in the bottom using the same measurements as the top, and re-installed it into the case.

We now have a fully suspended inner chamber!
